You can double check that the popup blocker is activated in the advanced settings of the browser.If it is and you are still getting popups, you can install an ad-blocking extension into the Chrome to block additional popupS from the browser's built-in extension library.If the problem persists you should have your computer scanned and cleaned.

To add a website to a whitelist that will allow popups, you need to type in the URL of that website on the Manage exceptions screen.If you frequently visit a website that has important notices displayed in pop ups, this is useful.You can choose to not allow any site to run Javascript from this menu.In blocking popup content, this can be very effective.Since Javascript is used on many websites, this option may block non-ad/non-popup content.
Step 14: Click to finish.
You can save your settings by closing the window.There is an icon on the right side of the search bar that looks like a browser window if you block a popup.Clicking on the blocked popup icon in the search bar will allow popups from that site.
Step 15: Open the browser.
Only the desktop version of the browser can be used for extensions.A separate ad-blocking software must be used on a mobile device.

Step 20: You can search for an Adblock extension.
You can find an Adblock extension by using the search bar in the upper left.Adblock extensions use a pre-compiled list of ad- producing sources to filter content.They don't limit or monitor your network activity.Adblock is one of the known extensions.If you find that your adblocker is blocking content you don't want to block, you can manually whitelist websites.
Step 21: Click on the option to add to chrome.
There is a button on the right.The extension will be installed to the browser.
Step 22: It's time to restart your browser.
Some extensions require you to restart your browser.Some installations will do this on their own.Most popup sources are blocked by these extensions.
