How To Change the Default Web Browser on a Mac

You can learn how to make a web browser other than the default one on a Mac computer.You can set any browser that's installed on your Mac to be the default browser.

Step 1: You can download your preferred browser.

If you don't already have the web browser that you want to use installed on your Mac, you'll need to download it first.Go to the download page and click the green button.Click the green button to go to Opera's download page.

Step 2: You need to install your browser.

Double-click the file to open it.Follow any on-screen instructions.The browser's icon can be dragged onto the folder shortcut.Click the DMG window to hold down Control.The menu has a drop-down.

Step 3: You can open the Apple menu.
