You can change your Facebook URL by changing your name.The custom web address that appears at the end of your Facebook profile's URL is used by you.You can change your Facebook name using either the desktop website or the Messenger app.
Step 1: You can open the Facebook Messenger.
The app has a blue speech bubble with a white lightning bolt in it.You can change your Facebook URL from within Messenger.If you don't have a Messenger account, you should use your phone number or email address.You can open the Messenger app from within the Facebook app by touching the icon that looks like a speech bubble in the upper-right corner.
Step 2: The chat bubble icon can be found in the bottom left corner of the screen.
The black chat bubble icon can be seen if you click the back button in the upper left corner of the screen.The "back" button is located in the top- left corner of the screen.
Step 3: You can tap on your profile icon.
It's either in the left or right corner of the screen.If you have a Facebook account, this icon will display your profile picture.
Step 4: You can tap the person's name.
The middle of the screen is where this option is located.
Step 5: You can tap on the Edit Username.
There is a pop-up option on the page.
Step 6: You need to type in a new name.
The text will appear after "/" in the URL.
Step 7: You can tap save on your phone.
It is in the right corner of the screen.If you change your Facebook URL, you will be able to see your new name at the end of the URL.If you don't see this option, your typed-in usernames are unavailable.
Step 8: You can go to Facebook.
To do so, you have to use your computer's browser.If you don't have a Facebook account, you need to enter your email address and phone number.
Step 9: Click on it.
It is near the top right corner of the page.
Step 10: Click on the settings you want to modify.
The option is at the bottom of the menu.
Step 11: Click the person's name.
The General page has a list of options.Click in the upper left corner of the page if you don't see this option.
Step 12: You have to type in a new name.
The text field is to the right of the name text.
Step 13: You can save changes.
There is a blue button at the bottom of the Username section.Your typed-in usernames is already taken if this button is grey instead of blue.
Step 14: Click the button if you want to enter your Facebook password.
If your password is correct, you can save it and apply it to your Facebook URL.
