How To Change Your Password in Windows 8

Changing your Windows 8 password can help improve the security of your computer or device.You can change your password in the Accounts menu.

Step 1: Swipe in from the right side of the screen.

If using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, then click on the settings button.

Step 2: Click or tap on the settings to change them.

Step 3: Click or tap on the Password section to change it.

This will open the window where you can change your password.

Step 4: You can enter your current password into the "Old password" field.

Step 5: Click or tap on the Next button to enter your new password.

Step 6: When Windows 8 tells you the password has been changed, click onFinish.

The Windows 8 password has been updated.

Step 7: To change a password, press control, alt, andDelete.

To change a password for a Windows 8 tablet, press and hold the Windows button, then press the Power button.

Step 8: You can enter your current password into the "Old password" field.

Step 9: Click or tap on the next field to enter your new password.

Step 10: When Windows 8 tells you the password has been changed, click on the finish button.
