How To Chat With Command Prompt

Have you ever wanted to use command prompt to chat through a school's network or talk to a friend without having to download a fancy chat software?With a few simple steps, you can now.

Step 1: Then type on the notepad.

The message is net send %n% %m% Pause Goto A.

Step 2: When you're done, click on file, save as, and then save it as a messenger.bat.

Step 3: Make sure you are in the control panel.

Click on "administrative tools".

Step 4: The "messenger" service can be found in the list on the right.

Click on the "startup type" which should be disabled, and then select "manual".

Step 5: Click OK if you press the start button in the upper left hand corner of the window.

Step 6: The same procedure can be done on the remote computer.

You won't be able to use this until this service is activated on that PC.

Step 7: Click on the file to open it.

It will open with the command prompt since it is a batches file.It should show the name of the person at the top.You can type the address of the computer.When you type the message next, you should send it to them if it's in the network.It will be on the other computer as well.You have it!
