How To Clean a Pipe Screen

A bowl of quality tobacco or marijuana can be ruined by a dirty pipe screen.Assess the dirtiness of your screen, burn it clean, and soak it frequently to enjoy the true value of the products you sell.

Step 1: The screen should be removed.

Put your pipe over the sink.To remove the screen from your pipe, use a pair of tweezers.

Step 2: Look at the screen.

If the screen is damaged, take a good look at it.It's probably worth saving if it doesn't have holes or tears. If it is thin or has a hole in it, you should toss it and replace it with a new screen.

Step 3: It's a good idea to blow on the screen.

Hold your screen over the sink and gently rock it back and forth with your thumb and forefinger. There is no need to clean the screen if it is now clean. It's time to start cleaning if it is still looking dirty.

Step 4: Pick up some cleaning supplies.

A lighter or matches, salt, rubbing alcohol, clean water, and a small bowl or container are some of the things you'll need to gather. You will be able to clean your screen with these supplies.

Step 5: The screen should be burned with a lighter or match.

While holding it horizontally over the sink, hold a lighter or match underneath the screen in your other hand. The flame should be moved around the screen to burn it evenly.Don't let the screen fire burn out if it catches fire. The screen should be burned for no more than 5 seconds if it doesn't catch.

Step 6: The screen should be cool for a moment.

After extinguishing the flame, hold the screen with your tweezers for at least one minute.Hold the back of your hand close to the screen to see if it's still hot.Take the screen from the tweezers and hold it between your thumb and forefinger.

Step 7: Make a loud noise on the screen.

If you want to let the ashes out, rock the screen again.Blow on it again to get the ashes off.

Step 8: The screen should be inspected again.

Look at the screen again to see if it's clean or covered in dirt. You can put it back in your pipe if it's good to go.You will need to soak the screen if not.

Step 9: Salt and alcohol can be put in a container.

It's time to soak your pipe screen if it is still caked with dirt, ash, and debris.Rub alcohol in a bowl, cup, or similar container.Add some salt to the mix with a spoon.

Step 10: Put your screen in the container.

Put your screen in the mixture and let it sit there for a while. Some time will be given for the mixture to break down.If the pipe is made of glass, this is a good way to clean it.If you want, you can put your entire pipe in the container.

Step 11: The screen needs to be washed and dried.

After at least half an hour has passed, take the screen out of the mixture, rinse it thoroughly under clean running water, and then wipe it clean with a paper towel. If you're cleaning the entire pipe, make sure to thoroughly rinse it with clean water and then wipe it dry with a paper towel.
