How To Clean an Apple Watch

Like anything you wear, regular use of the Apple Watch will require cleaning.Apple products are known for their sleek look and design, and routine cleaning will help your watch maintain both its function and appearance.Cleaning your Apple Watch will help ensure you get the most out of it.

Step 1: The Apple Watch needs to be turned off.

Press and hold the side button for a while.The power off position is where the sliders should be.

Step 2: Remove the watch from a power source.

Step 10: The leather band needs to be cleaned.

The leather cleaner and conditioner can be applied to a nonabrasive cloth.Rub the cloth against the band.After the cleaner/conditioner has been applied, buff it out by repeating the circular motion with a clean nonabrasive, lint-free and/or microfiber cloth.Water and heat can affect leather bands.You should not soak a leather band in water if you have limited contact with water.It's a good idea to avoid storing or drying a leather band in direct sunlight, high temperatures, or high humidity.

Step 11: In warm, soapy water, soak nylon or other waterproof bands.

In a bowl of fresh water and a drop of soap, fully submerge the waterproof band.Remove the band from the bowl of soapy water after 10-30 minutes of soaking.Remove the band from the water and use a soft bristle toothbrush to clean it.

Step 12: Dry the band with a microfiber cloth or nonabrasive lint-free cloth.

Allow the watchband to air-dry if it has retained water.Depending on the material and method you use, air drying a watchband may take several hours.If the watch band is made of leather or metal, you should let it air dry before attaching it to your Apple Watch.

Step 13: Attach the band to your watch.

There is a band release button on the Apple Watch.When you hear a click, put the band back in place.
