How To Clean Keens

There are specially made shoes for outdoor activities like hiking, walking, rock climbing, and more.They are susceptible to becoming dirty and stinky because they are used for a variety of outdoor activities.It's easy to keep your Keens odor-free.The washing machine is good for heavy-duty cleaning.It's a good idea to wash your Keens with a soapy solution.

Step 1: To remove dirt, use a stiff bristle brush.

Dirt and debris can be removed by scrubbing the outside of your Keens.Remove all of the dirt and debris by scrubbing them.Before placing them in the washing machine, place them under cold water and run the water to remove dirt and dust.

Step 2: Put a small amount of detergent into your washing machine.

Put your shoes in the machine.The machine should be set on a gentle cycle.

Step 3: Put your shoes in the air.

Once the cycle is over, place them under a porch or another type of cover to dry off.Place them in the shade.Before you use them again, make sure they are completely dry.You shouldn't use heat sources like the dryer to dry your clothes.It's possible to help your shoes dry faster by filling them with crumpled newspaper.

It's a good idea to dry your Keens outside.Place them in the shade.They should be placed under a covered area to dry off.Don't reuse them if they are completely dry.The dryer can speed up the drying process.

Step 9: The footbeds need to be removed.

Most of the Keens haveremovable footbeds.The footbeds should be removed after two or three months of use.They should be set aside.

Step 10: The detergent should be put into a bucket.

When the soapy solution forms, fill the bucket with cold water.For 15 to 20 minutes, place the footbeds in the bucket.

Step 11: To wash the footbeds, use a soft, clean cloth.

After soaking, dip a cloth in the soapy solution.The cloth should be used to scrub the footbeds.

Step 12: The soles of the feet need to be washed.

The footbeds should be placed under cold water.To remove soapy solution, squeeze them.Remove any excess water by squeezing them again once they are free of soapy solution.

Step 13: They should be allowed to air dry.

To dry the footbeds, place them outside.They should be placed under a porch area.They should not be placed in direct sunlight.To speed up the drying process, don't use the dryer or another heat source.Before you put the footbeds back in your shoes, make sure they are completely dry.

Step 14: You should wash your Keens.

Use a mixture of dish soap and water to clean them.Make sure your shoes are clean before you try to remove odors.

Step 15: Baking soda can be put inside your shoes.

While the shoes are still damp, sprinkle the baking soda inside.All of the areas where your foot comes into contact with the shoe should be covered.

Step 16: Make a solution out of water and vinegar.

Take equal parts water and vinegar and put them in a spray bottle.The spray bottle has a cap on it.You can mix the two together by shaking the bottle.

Step 17: Put the solution in your shoes.

The solution should be sprayed all over the inside and outside of your shoes.Take your shoes off and let the baking soda and solution work their magic.

Step 18: It's a good idea to thoroughly wash your Keens.

Put your shoes under cold water and rinse them after the hour is over.All of the baking soda needs to be removed before they can be washed.

Step 19: They should be placed outside to air dry.

If you want to dry your Keens out, place them under a covered area.Place them in the dryer to avoid speeding up the drying process.Before using them, make sure they are dry.
