How To Connect a Keyboard and Mouse to an Xbox One
You can learn how to use a keyboard and mouse with an XBox One.The XBox One doesn't have a lot of support for keyboards and mice.The keyboards can only be used for text input and not for gaming.If you want to use a keyboard and mouse for gaming, you'll need an accessory.
Step 1: The XIM app can be downloaded.
The XIM Apex Manager app can be used to communicate with a device.You need to download it on your phone in order to set it up.This is where you can download the XIM Apex Manager app.You can download the XIM Apex manager app here.
Step 2: The XBox One can be powered on.
When you connect the XIM Apex to the game console, the console needs to be powered on.
Step 3: The mouse needs to be connected to port 1 on the hub.
There is a hub for connecting a variety ofusb devices.If your gaming keyboard has a built in hub, you can use it.Make sure that all devices connected to the hub are using high quality data cables.
Step 4: Attach the keyboard to Port 2.
Use a cable to connect the keyboard to the hub.
Step 5: The controller needs to be connected to Port 3.
The controller needs to be connected to the hub via a cable at all times.Don't use a charge-only cable if you are using ausb 2.0 data cable.Make sure the controller is off before using the XIM Apex.
Step 6: The hub should be connected to the XIM.
The XIM is a small device that looks like a thumb drive.There is a port for plugging in the hub.There is a plug for connecting to the game console on the other end.
Step 7: The XIM is plugged into the XBox One.
The XIM Apex can be connected to your game console with a free port on the XBox One.There will be a variety of colors when the lights on the XIM Apex are on.As the device connects to the keyboard and mouse, they will turn red.The lights will flash green when the device has successfully connected to all the peripherals.The controller will work in the game, but the mouse and keyboard will not.
Step 8: You can open the app on your phone.
The app has an icon that looks like a cross-hair with a red dot in the center.
Step 9: You can continue by tapping.
There is a welcome screen on the XIM app.
Step 10: Agree by tapping.
This shows that you agree to the license agreement.
Step 11: You can tap to download.
The latest game updates can be downloaded here.The XIM Apex manager app will start searching for the device.
Step 12: The XIM Apex has a button.
There is a button in between the lights.The app can be used with the XIM Apex device.The first time you connect the device, you only need to do this.
Step 13: If you want to play the game, tap it.
You can see a list of games in the app after connecting to the XIM Apex device.The XIM Apex device is configured for the best aiming experience.Picking the wrong game will result in a poor aiming experience.
Step 14: You can tap the XBox One icon.
The XBox One logo is at the bottom of the screen.When communicating with the app and configuring the device, the lights on the XIM Apex will flash white and yellow.When the lights are yellow, don't plug the XIM Apex.
Step 15: The aiming sensitivity should be set to maximum.
All XIM gaming configurations assume you have a high aiming sensitivity.If the aiming sensitivity is not set to maximum, you can use the game controller to go to the in-game options or settings menu.
Step 16: Change the game settings.
You have to change settings in some games.The XIM Apex Manager app will tell you what settings you need to change if this is the case.You can follow the instructions in the app.The HUD screen in the XIM Apex Manager displays the game you are playing, the console you're playing on, and what peripherals you have connected.You can change the game settings with a new configuration.
Step 17: The button is on the left side of the screen.
The button has a pencil icon in the upper- left corner.The mouse sensitivity and button mapping can be adjusted here.
Step 18: The configuration name and color can be updated.
The configuration and color can be changed at the top of the screen.The lights on the XIM Apex device reflect the same color as you pick.
Step 19: It's a good idea to adjust aiming sensitivity.
Hip aiming and aiming down site are both included in many games.To adjust the aiming sensitivity, tap the "+" and "-" next to "ADS"You can fine-tune the settings with the updated changes.
Step 20: There are buttons for your mouse and keyboard.
Under "Movement" and "Actions" there are all the game controls.You can map a movement or action to your mouse or keyboard with the XIM Apex Manager app.You can map the movement or action on your keyboard or mouse when it says "Listening".If you want to clear a movement, tap the button twice.The game settings or options menu should have the control settings set to default.
Step 21: Use the tap to save.
There is a menu at the top of the XIM Apex manager app.You are ready to use your keyboard and mouse.You are moving the mouse faster than the game can turn if the lights on the XIM Apex flash red.Slow down your mouse movements.
Step 22: You can download the computer software.
Cronus Pro and Gtuner are used on PC.The computer software they use is almost the same as the devices.The software can be downloaded from the following steps.Cronus Pro or Gtuner Pro can be downloaded.Click again if you want to download it again.The zip file should be opened.Click the file to open it.Click "Next" and "Install"
Step 23: You can connect the CronuxMAX/Titan One to your computer.
The CronusMAX/Titan One look like a thumb drive.The device can be connected to your computer using a mini-usb input on the side of the device.
Step 24: Cronus Pro should be run as an administrator.
Cronus Pro has a program called X-Aim.You can use a mouse and keyboard with your game consoles.You have to run the program as an administrator in order to use it.Cronus Pro can be used as an administrator.You can open the Windows Start menu.Click on Cronus Pro or Gtuner.Click for more information.Click "Run as administrator".
Step 25: "XBox One" or "Automatic" will be used as the Output Protocol.
This tells you what console you are using.CronusMAX/Titan One will attempt to detect what console you are using if you use more than one console.Select "XBox One" if you don't want to.The following steps are used to select an Output Protocol.Click the tool you want to use.Click on the option you want to use.You can click on the "Device" tab.You can use the drop-down menu to choose from Automatic or Xbox One.Click to close.
Step 26: The CronusMAX/Titan One should not be on your computer.
The CronuxMAX/Titan One device has ausb cable.You will connect it in a minute.
Step 27: The XBox One has power on it.
You can power your XBox One by pressing the button on the console or controller.
Step 28: The CronusMAX/Titan One should be plugged into the XBox One.
The device can be connected to the game console with theusb output on the front of it.
Step 29: The controller should be connected to the CronusMAX/Titan One.
Plug the controller into the back of the CronusMAX/Titan One device if you want to use it on the XBox One.
Step 30: The CronusMAX/Titan One needs to be connected to your computer.
After the CronusMAX/Titan One is connected to the XBox One, you can use a mini-usb input on the side of the device to connect it to your computer.
Step 31: You can click on the Plugins in Cronus Pro.
Click the "Plugins" menu at the top of the app if Cronus Pro/Gtuner Pro is still open on your PC.
Step 32: Go to X-AIM.
It is at the bottom of the menu.Cronus Pro needs to be administrator in order to run X-Aim.Select "MaxAim DI" and then click "Install" to add it to Gtuner Pro.
Step 33: Click on the file.
There is a menu bar at the top of the X-Aim/MaxAim software.
Step 34: Click the new layout.
The "File" drop-down menu has it's first option.This opens a new menu.The "Layout" drop-down menu can be used to select a pre-made layout for specific games.
Step 35: You can choose a layout.
There are many layout options to choose from.There is an empty layout for PS4 and XBox One.You will need to map the buttons.You can choose between basic and pro for PS4 and XBox One.There are buttons and mouse movements mapped in these layouts.
Step 36: The layout should be named.
A dialogue box opens when you select a new layout.The layout should be named after the game you want to play.
Step 37: The keyboard and mouse controls should be assigned.
To map the controls, right-click a button layout and either select an option from the menu, or click "Keystroke" or "Mouse Button" and press the keyboard button or mouse button you want to assign to that button.
Step 38: You can enter capture mode.
Control of your computer's keyboard and mouse can be transferred to your game console.You will not be able to use your computer while in capture mode.You won't be able to use your keyboard and mouse on the game console.Before entering capture mode make sure all other programs are closed.To exit capture mode, use the keyboard.
