How To Convert CDA to MP3

You can learn how to convert a CD's files into mp3 files on a computer.CD-only song files can't be played on a computer without the CD, while mp3 files are audio files which can be heard on almost any platform.If Windows Media Player was included in your installation, you can use it on both Windows and Mac computers.

Step 1: You want to convert the audio CD into a computer program.

The CD must have a logo on it.Plug a CD drive into your computer if you're on a Mac.

Step 2: It's possible to open iTunes.

There's a musical note on a white background.skip this step if iTunes opens automatically.

Step 3: Allow mp3 conversions.

If you want your CD's songs to be turned into mp3 files, you need to enable the MP3 Encoder first.

Step 4: You can click on the CD icon.

There is an icon in the window.You can open the CD's page in iTunes.The CD will be imported automatically if you haven't imported it yet.

Step 8: Click to create an mp3 version.

There is a pop-out window.The files on your CD will be converted into mp3 files.

Step 9: The CD can be converted.

It can take a minute per song.

Step 10: Remove the CD.

You can get rid of your CD once it finishes converting.Clicking the tab in the upper- left corner of the page will allow you to view the mp3 files.

Step 11: There are files on your computer.

There is a folder on your computer that holds the CD's mp3 files.Click one of the song titles to open this folder.You can click in the upper- left side.To open the songs' folder, click on either Windows or Mac.

Step 12: Attach the audio CD to your computer.

The CD must be put in the tray.Plug a CD drive into your computer if you are on a Mac.

Step 13: The start is open.

The Windows logo can be found in the bottom- left corner of the screen.It is not possible to play Windows Media Player on other computers.

Step 14: You can open Windows Media Player.

Click at the top of the Start window when the media player appears.Windows Media Player will not show up in Start if you don't have it.You can download and use it.

Step 15: You can choose your CD.

The left side of the Windows Media Player window has your CD's name on it.You can click here if your CD's information isn't retrievable by Windows Media Player.

Step 16: Click the settings that you want to use.

There is a tab at the top of the window.Doing so leads to a menu.

Step 17: Click on more options.

This can be found in the drop-down menu.There will be a pop-up window.

Step 18: You can change the save location.

Click on the right side of the window to change the location in which your CD's mp3 files are saved.You can select a folder.Then click again.

Step 19: If you want to rip a CD, click here.

The Windows Media Player page has a tab at the top.The CD's files will be ripped by Windows Media Player.

Step 20: Allow the CD to be converted.

It can take a minute per song.

Step 21: Get rid of the CD.

You can close Windows Media Player after ripping your CD.

Step 22: Take a look at your CD's files.

Your CD's mp3 files will be in your specified location inside of a folder with the artist name of the CD in it.If you rip Poems, Prayers & Promises by John Denver to your desktop, you can open the mp3 files' folder by double-clicking the "John Denver" folder.
