How To Convert Image to Text (OCR) on Google Drive

You can learn how to open an image file on your Drive and view its text conversion using a desktop internet browser.

Step 1: Go to your internet browser.

If you type drive.google.com into the address bar, you can either enter or return.If you don't log in automatically, you can sign in with your account by clicking the blue button on the home page.

Step 2: The new button is blue.

There is a button in the upper left corner of your screen.A drop-down menu will open.

Step 3: The file can be uploaded on the menu.

This option will open the file navigator window and allow you to download a file from your computer.

Step 4: You can choose the image you want to convert.

You can find the image file on your computer.

Step 5: The button is open.

The file navigator window has a button in it.Your Drive will be uploaded with the selected file.

Step 6: Click on the image file you want to convert.

Click on the icon to find the image you want to convert.This will open a list of options.

Step 7: On the right-clicking menu, hover over Open.

A list of recommended applications can be found in a sub-menu.

Step 8: There is a sub-menu on the open.

This will open a new tab and allow you to view the selected image file.

Step 9: The text is below the image.

You can see your image at the top of the document, and the converted text below it.
