How To Cook Indian Khichdi

It can be really delicious.There are two types of khichadi, rice and sabudana.The article will show you how to make rice khichadi.

Step 1: Two bowls of rice should be washed in cold water.

Step 2: Take 1/3 bowl moong dal/bean wash as well.

These two should be left aside.

Step 3: Put a pressure pan on the stove.

The oil should heat up for a few minutes.

Step 4: Add a pinch of cumin seeds, muster seeds and asafoetida powder, as well as curry leaves and garlic paste.

Step 5: Make sure you mix these ingredients well.

Step 6: Add the rice and moong beans.

Step 7: To make it taste better, add a little of each of the above mentioned powders and seasonings, along with a bit of salt and a dash of red chili powder.

Step 8: Add four bowls of hot water and cook it for 10 minutes.

Step 9: It is a good idea to serve hot with ghee and Coriander leaves.
