There is a huge list of cities and hometowns on Facebook.You use these locations to update your profile.There may be instances when your hometown isn't included yet.You have to pick a hometown from the list.If you don't want to settle for a nearby town, you can send feedback to Facebook so that they can review and add your hometown to the list.
Step 1: You can go to Facebook.
Go to the web page by opening a new browser tab or window.
Step 2: You have to log in.
Log in using your Facebook account and password.The login fields can be found on the upper right corner of the page.Click the button to log in.The News Feed is where you will be directed.
Step 3: Go and help.
Click the last icon to go to the upper right corner.The options will be dropped down.Click here for help.
Step 4: You can report a problem by clicking the link.
You will be asked if you want to report a problem or send feedback.
Step 5: The first option is to send feedback.
You can leave feedback on the page.
Step 6: Request for the creation of your hometown.
Select the location from the drop-down list on the feedback form.Provide as much detail and references as possible in your request for hometown creation, so that Facebook can work on it better.To submit, click the "Send" button on the bottom of the form.It is up to Facebook to add your hometown to the list.
Step 7: You can launch the Facebook app.
You can find the Facebook app on your mobile device.There is an app icon with the Facebook logo.To launch it, tap on it.
Step 8: The menu button is on the left side of the page.
A menu will change.
Step 9: You can report a problem by sliding down through the menu.
A small window with problem types will open.
Step 10: Select the feedback you want.
There are three options on the small window." Something Isn't Working," "Abusive Content," and "General Feedback" are some of the things you can choose from.
Step 11: Give your request.
A window or feedback form will appear.Provide as much detail and references as possible in your request for hometown creation, so that Facebook can work on it better.
Step 12: Send the request.
At the top right corner of the form, tap the "Send" button.The request will be forwarded to Facebook.It is up to Facebook to add your hometown to the list.
