You can't connect to Apple's verification server when you experience Error 3194.This happens because you've jailbroken your device and changed the way you connect to the verification server.You can change your hosts file.If you want to get your device working again, you can perform a remote factory reset.
Step 1: It's time to quit iTunes.
Make sure the changes you make take effect before you start.
Step 2: The hosts file can be opened on the computer.
Error 3194 is the most common error when you are trying to update or restore your device through iTunes.If you have jailbroken your device in the past, this is a common occurrence.Go to C:WindowsSystem32driversetc and double-click the hosts file.You can choose "Notepad" from the list of available programs.You can open the terminal from the utilities folder.The hosts file can be opened in a text editor.
Step 3: The hosts file is located at the bottom.
You can find an Apple address at the bottom.There will be no lines without a # at the front of the hosts file.
Step 4: Look for a sign.
The signature verification process is sent to the Cydia server.The error is caused by the presence or lack of this redirecting.If you have 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com at the bottom of the file, you can add a # to the front.You can add gs.apple.com to the hosts file if you don't have the line.
Step 5: Save your changes.
This will allow your phone to make a connection.Click the file menu to save it.Mac can be pressed to save and quit.
Step 6: If you haven't restored or updated in a while, open iTunes and try again.
The changes you made to your hosts file should allow you to proceed.It may not be possible to upgrade to a previous version with the version of the software you have downloaded.You can try a normal restore with the downloaded firmware.
Step 7: Put your device in Device Firmware Update mode.

Step 9: You can use the Find My iPhone service.
