The Handgun does 15 base damage in Terraria.The base damage and bullet damage add up to the total damage.It can be upgraded into the Phoenix blaster with 10 Hellstone bars.To get a Handgun in Terraria, you have to beat Skeletron.You have to go through Skeletron's dungeon to get a Handgun as a loot.
Step 1: Bring lots of health and magic.
It can be hard to get a Handgun if you are not prepared, so take as many health and magic as you can with you.
Step 2: Make a bed.
There is a way to craft a bed.You will need 15 Wood and 5 Silk to make one.If you don't have a Sawmill, you can make one at the crafting table using 10 Wood, 2 Iron/Lead Bars, and 1 Chain.You can take a bed from abandoned houses if you don't want to craft.
Step 3: A torch is needed.
This light is used to illuminate your room.You can buy a torch from a merchant for 50 coins, or you can craft one with Wood and Gel.

To make a decent-sized room, you need enough blocks.You should bring some wall blocks to make the room you are making.
Step 5: You should bring a weapon.
Just make sure you have one, this can be any weapon of your choice.
Step 6: Go to the dungeon.
The Handgun can only be obtained through the chests found in the dungeon.The dungeon is located at one end of the map, which is opposite the jungle.You can walk to one edge of the map if you can't find the dungeon.The dungeon is at the other end of the map if you reach the ocean.
Step 7: The room needs to be built.
It is recommended that you build a point after you reach the dungeon.The process of building a room varies depending on the platform you are playing on: For PC, hit the ESC key or press the number that the block is assigned to to equip it, then left-click the area you want to place it in.If you want to highlight a block, open the inventory menu and use the D-pad to navigate.Press A once the block is highlighted, and use the right stick to set the area you want to place it in.To open the inventory menu, hit the icon at the end of the item slots.The first five item slots are at the top of the inventory menu.You can put the block in the item slot if you tap on the area you want to build the bedroom.The minimum width of a room is 9 and the height is 4.

You can enter the dungeon through the door.
Step 12: You can find chests.
Fight the mobs in the dungeon first.Along the way, you will find chests scattered randomly in the dungeon, and one may contain a handgun.There is no guarantee that you will get a Handgun on the first, second, or third run into the dungeon.Continue going through the dungeon and opening chests until you get a Handgun, you just have to be patient.If you die, you will be taken to the bedroom you built before entering the dungeon.
