How To Groom an Angora Rabbit

Your Angora rabbit needs grooming just as much as you do.It should be groomed at least 4 times a year.

Step 1: The fur should be cut when it's 8–12 centimeters.

When the next time is, write down each grooming date.

Step 2: Check the toenails.

If needed, clip them.

Step 3: When grooming your rabbit, put it on your lap or on a table.

Put the rabbit in your lap when you do the belly and legs.To make your rabbit more relaxed, use a towel.If you use a grooming table, put a non-skid surface on it.

Step 4: First, get rid of the longest hairs.

Step 5: There are mats around the ears, face, and feet.

Step 6: Remove the leg and belly wool.

Step 7: As you cut, brush frequently to remove stray hairs.

Step 8: Every day you should brush your rabbit.

You can use a cat brush.

Step 9: Cut into the mat if the fur is matted.

Pull it apart with your fingers.Then remove the mat.Work with the mats for an hour a day if your rabbit is matted.Don't tire your rabbit too much.If your rabbit has a lot of mats, you need to use clippers.Don't exceed 20 minutes.Allow your rabbit to rest for 10 minutes.Look for signs of stress in the rabbit.Continue the next day if your rabbit is stressed.If the rabbit has a mat close to the skin, it's a good idea to let it grow.

Step 10: An antiseptic dusting powder should be applied to the wound if you cut your rabbit.
