How To Hide Greasy Hair

If you didn't have time to wash your hair the night before, styling it in the morning can be a nightmare.A dirty hair can be a problem.Wearing your hair down in styles that hide or distract from your roots is one of the ways to hide greasy hair.

Step 1: You can wear a messy top knot for a casual look.

The crown of your hair should be separated from the rest.Pull the top section back into a messy knot.Attach it with pins and pull the sides of the bun to add more thickness.A messy topknot is a fast and easy way to hide your greasy roots. This hairstyle is great for people with long hair.

Step 2: If you want an editorial look, back your hair.

If your hair isn't straight, brush it and make sure the ends are straight.Pull the sides of your hair behind your ears and brush them towards the back, leaving no trace of roots. If you want a style that looks extra wet, add gel or mousse. If you want your hair to stay in place, spray it with a non-aerosol hairspray. The style is best for short hair. The look is difficult to achieve if you have long hair.

Step 3: It's a good idea to make a deep side part.

If you want to make your hair look flat, you should part it to the side. You can double the amount of hair on one side by using a comb.Make the deep part stay in place by misting it with hairspray. The style will distract from oily roots. This is great for people with thin hair because it makes them look like they have more hair than they do.The shine in your roots can be reduced by adding a bit of dry shampoo to the part.

Step 4: To make your hair look thicker, add more volume to your crown.

You can tease the underside of your roots with a teasing comb.Take the section back with the rest of your hair and smooth it with a comb.To keep the added volume throughout the day, spray a light hold hairspray. If you add too much hair spray, it will cause your hair to turn flat very quickly.Follow the spray with some cool air from a blow dryer.

Step 5: A messy bun is an everyday style.

Attach your hair to a hair tie by grabbing it with your fingers.Attach the hair band to your hair with pins.Pull the sides of your bun to make it bigger.Pull out some strands around your face and neck for an extra messy look.

Step 6: If you want an elegant party look, go for a flower bun.

Take a piece of hair from one side and the other side.Take the 2 strands at the back of your head and twist them together to make a small bun.Place it with pins or hair elastic. When you run out of hair, place a few of these buns on your head.If you have medium length hair, flower buns are a great way to hide greasy hair that has a lot of product from previous days.If you want thicker hair, pull it from either side.If you don't have enough hair to make a bun at the back of your head, put it under the mini-buns.

Step 7: For a fun twist, add a small braid to a sleek ponytail.

Use a comb to brush your hair.If you want a low ponytail, place it at the nape of your neck.If you want a high ponytail, gather the hair at the crown of your head and tie it with a hair band.Take a small section of hair from your ponytail, braid it, and tie it off with a clear elastic.Wrap the braid around the hair tie and secure it with pins. This is a fun twist on a simple hairstyle.A ponytail with an accent braid is great for people with long hair.

Step 8: A braid is an interesting, playful style.

Pull your hair into a ponytail at the back of your head. The ponytail should be in the middle.Take a small piece of hair out of the left section.Pull this across the top of the left section and the right section.Pull a small piece from the outside of the right section across the top and left sections.Continue until you run out of hair, alternating between the right and left sections. You can secure it with a clear elastic once you're done.Cut out the hair band that held your ponytail. When you bring the hair across, don't twist it because this will confuse the look and prevent clear distinction between the strands.People with curly and wavy hair are suited for braids because they have a lot of volume in their hair.If you have hair that is prone to knots, you should use a spray to decongest it.

Step 9: If you are running late, you should wear a hat.

If you want to hide your oily hair but need to be out the door quickly, wearing a hat is a great alternative.A hat with your favorite team's logo is great when you need to get going.

Step 10: Adding a silk scarf will make you look more presentable.

You can change the look based on how you fold the scarf. If you want a thinner headband style, place it behind your ears and fold it into the width you desire. If it feels loose, tie it at the nape of your neck and secure it with pins.If you want the full width of the silk scarf to show, place it slightly behind your head, tuck it under your ears, and tie it at the nape of your neck.If you are wearing a simple outfit, choose a bright or bold silk scarf.Once you tie your scarf at the nape of your neck, leave the ends loose.

Step 11: For a simple look, wear a headband.

Pick a headband that covers oily roots and keeps hair neat. The headbands will help hide the dirty hair. You can find one that fits your look by looking at different styles and designs.

Step 12: Pull your hair back with a claw clip.

The style looks great on long hair. You can secure your hair with a claw clip by twisting it.For a messy look, you can pull out a few strands.
