How To Install Windows 95

Home users can use Windows 95.On the 15th of August 1995 it was released, but support ended on the 31st of December 2001.It was better than Windows 3.1.Every single Windows operating system built after Windows 95 has the same desktop layout.

Step 1: The Windows 95 installation disk should be inserted.

Step 2: Your computer needs to bebooted.

Step 3: Wait for the screen message to appear.

Press Enter when the screen appears.

Step 4: It's up to you to Configure.

If you haven't already allocated a partition to your hard drive, make sure 'Configure unallocated disk space' is highlighted.

Step 5: Do you want large disk support?

This is a matter of personal preference, but 'Yes' was chosen.If your hard drive is less than 512mb, this message won't come up.

Step 6: Make sure the Windows 95 Boot Disk is in Drive A.

Step 7: Continue with the installation if you press Enter.

Step 8: Continue with the installation.

Step 9: Accept the license agreement.

You should read the agreement to know what you're agreeing to.

Step 10: Next, click

Step 11: Click Next if you want to install Windows 95 on your hard drive.

It's best to choose where Windows recommends.

Step 12: Click Next to select what kind of setup you want.

'Typical' was chosen for the instructions.

Step 13: Click Next if you type in your product key.

Your Windows 95 setup disks should have the product key.

Step 14: Click Next if you want to type in your name.

It's not necessary to put a company in.

Step 15: If you have any hardware, click the check boxes which relate to it and click Next.

None of the check boxes were used.

Step 16: If you want to install the most common components yourself, click Next.

'Install the most common components' was selected.

Step 17: Click Next if you want to create a startup disk or not.

Should Windows fail to boot, the startup disk can be inserted into your computer to fix it.'No' was selected.

Step 18: Next, click.

Step 19: They should remove any disks from their drives.

Click Finish to finish the floppy disks and installation disk.

Step 20: Method 4 'Fixing "Windows protection error"' can be used if you get confronted with this error.

Step 21: Click OK.

Step 22: Click Close if you want to type in a Computer name and Workgroup.

The computer description is not required.

Step 23: Click OK if you want to reinsert the Windows 95 installation disk.

Step 37: Press Y for Yes or N for No to decide if you want to read it.

The readme is the same as the one in the zip folder.

Step 38: Press any key when confronted with this message.

The processor issues will be fixed with this.

Step 39: Remove the CD from the computer by pressing any key.

This setup screen will start an endless loop if you don't remove the 'CD'.
