How To Join Interpol

Interpol is an international policing agency that works with national law enforcement agencies to bring criminals to justice.You have to be an existing law enforcement officer in a member country to get a position at the international police organization.You can apply for jobs online.Once your application is accepted and you pass a background check, you will be contacted by an Interpol agent for the rest of the hiring process.

Step 1: To see available job openings, visit https://www.Interpol.int.

Click on the left-hand side of the screen to see the current vacancies.There is a list of current job openings on this page.You can narrow down your search by location and job type.

Step 2: You can narrow down your choices by looking at the available job listings.

There are jobs that match your experience and education.You must read the entire description of the job to find a position that interests you.More information about the position can be found by clicking on a listing.The search bar at the top of the page can be used to look for specific positions.You have to be an existing law-enforcement officer.

Step 3: An account can be created on the website.

You need to register on the website and create an account to submit an application for employment.On the bottom of the page that you're interested in, click on "Apply To Job" to go to the account creation page.You need to input your name, address, and phone number here.You can attach your resume and other important documents to your profile.You can skip this step if you already have an account.Your passport or national ID card can be important documents.

Step 4: You need to fill out an application and submit your CV and cover letter.

All the mandatory fields need to be filled out in the application.If you already uploaded a CV or resume when creating your account, you won't have to do it again.You should submit an application before the deadline.The submissions won't be considered after the deadline.If you want to apply to more than one position, submit your application and resume to each individual listing.

Step 5: Wait for a call or email from an agent.

If your application and resume are accepted, you will get a call to set up an interview in person or over video conference.The process could take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month.

Step 6: Go on the interview and take the exam.

Once you pass the interview portion, you will be contacted by Interpol to take a written exam.They will offer you a job if you pass the exam.It may take over a month for Interpol to conduct a thorough background check on you.Basic questions regarding your position as well as hypothetical questions on how you'll handle specific situations will be covered in the exam.

Step 7: You should be an adult citizen of one of the member countries.

You have to be at least 18 years old and a citizen of one of the 192 member countries to work at Interpol.You can check to see if your country is on the list.The United States, China, and Egypt are some of the countries where Interpol operates.North Korea, Bhutan and Taiwan are not members of the international police organization.

Step 9: Become a law enforcement official

An existing law enforcement officer in their member country is what most employees at Interpol are known for.You will work as a liaison between your law enforcement or defense agency and Interpol to help solve international crimes.Several years of law enforcement experience is what most Interpol agents have.Law enforcement experience is required in order to contract with the Interpol agency.People with no law-enforcement experience can get an internship.

Step 10: The post requires minimum education and experience.

If you want to intern, a university degree is required.An advanced degree in a certain field is required for certain positions.Before you apply to a position, make sure you read the listing and meet all of the educational and experience requirements for the job.Degrees that may be required for Interpol work include criminal justice, law, criminology, or IT.
