It's ideal to make a centerpiece with a variety of shapes and colors of candy.If you're careful with how you make the centerpiece, it can be delicious.Candy can be used to create flowers or topiaries, and you can also use them to make colorful vases.
Step 1: Pick out your supplies.
You need a styrofoam ball, foam for the pot, a stick to attach the ball to the foam, hot glue, and a pot.You can use styrofoam for the ball, but you'll need more than that.You will need the candy you want to use.Stick candy that you stick into the foam can be used instead of glue.Jelly beans, gumballs, candy-coated chocolate candies, and even chocolate kisses are some of the small candy you can use.Pieces of rock candy or jelly beans are good for gravel.The pot can be decorated with paint, ribbon, and/or stickers.
Step 2: The ball should be put on a cup.
It's easier to hold the ball in a cup as it will give you more space to work on it.Put the ball in foil.The ball needs to be balanced on top of the cup.
Step 3: Attach the candy to it.
To make a simple topiary ball, glue your candy on the foam ball and make sure you don't see the white underneath.If you prefer, you can make a glue with royal icing.In order to make royal icing, you have to mix together 4 cups of powdered sugar and 3 liters of meringue powder.Add in 1/3 of a cup of warm water and use a hand mixer to mix it in.When it's a thick paste, keep adding it.The thicker the application, the better.Food coloring can be used to tint the glue.Before working with the candy again, let it dry thoroughly.It's important to leave a place where the stick can go in.
Step 4: The pot needs to be prepared.
Attach the foam to the inside of the pot.You can decorate the pot with paint or stickers.The stick should be in the center of the foam.Hot glue can be used on the bottom of the stick to make sure it stays upright.
Step 5: The topiary needs to be completed.
You can add candy to the pot on top of the foam or use glass beads.You can use foil and glue to make it.The topiary should be put on top of the stick after everything is dry.Hot glue can be used on the top of the stick to hold it in place.
Step 6: Take what you need.
You'll need a vase, ribbon, hot glue, and something to put in the vase with candy or flowers, as well as candy cane sticks.If you don't want to ruin a vase, you can use a leftover can, just be sure to wash it out and take the label off.
Step 7: The candy canes should be Glued on.
Glue the candy canes to the vase or can with the hooks facing out.If you glue them next to each other, the vase or can won't show.Go all the way with the candy canes.If you glue them on without the plastic, you may need to coat them with a clear varnish afterwards.
Step 8: There is a ribbon.
Wrap a ribbon around the candy canes.It's a good idea to glue it in place on the inside of the ribbon, as it will have a tendency to slip.The ribbon should be tied in a bow.You can put a small candy in the middle of the bow.
Step 9: The can or vase can be filled.
You can add your decoration to the middle of the vase.You could use a flower.Guests could eat more candy canes if you filled it with your choice of candy.
Step 10: A square of plastic and candy is what you should start with.
To put candy in a square of plastic, you will need 13 cm by 5 cm.You don't have to put the candy inside the bag, but you can use the non-ZIP plastic bags.The bag should be laid out flat.Jelly beans, gummies, and small chocolate candies in solid colors are what you'll need.
Step 11: Make a flower.
There is a small amount of candy on the square.The candy can be found in the center of the bag.You can make a bag out of the plastic by putting the candy in your hand and the corners sticking up.You can secure the plastic by twisting it just above the candy.
Step 12: There is a stick with a sharp end.
You should wrap a second piece of plastic around the bag you've already made.The stick should be between the layers.The sharp end should stick out, as it will foam later.The second layer needs to be tied with a tie.You can make a bouquet of flowers in other colors of candy.You can use shades of the same color to make a bouquet.
Step 13: Ready to put it in a vase.
There is a vase.Pick a foam ball that fits in the vase.The best place to put the foam is at the top of the vase.To make sure the foam ball stays in place, push it down gently.If it's too big, you can use hot glue to hold it in place.
Step 14: The bouquet should be made.
Add the candy flowers to the foam around the ball.It is possible to make a hole with a stick without flowers.When the ball is full, poke in some fake leaves to add texture and color.
Step 15: Pick your supplies.
You will need two vases.A large-style vase should have a stem.The first vase should have a straight-sided cylinder in it.The second vase doesn't need to be as tall as the first one, but you'll need a small container under it.You will need flowers and candy to fill the smaller vase.
Step 16: The vase needs to be built.
If your smaller vase is too short to reach the top of the larger vase, put the ramekin in the bottom.You can put the bottom-side up.The smaller vase should be placed on top of the ramekin.They need to be centered in the larger vase.
Step 17: There is a layer of the candy.
Candy can be placed between the smaller vase and the larger vase.A more interesting effect would be to layer colors.You can add a layer of green candy, red candy and white candy to a Christmas vase.Continue until you reach the top of the vase.
Step 18: The smaller vase needs to be filled.
The smaller vase is the final step.Silk flowers can be used as the center if you're careful.Guests can snack on the middle vase if you fill it with a different kind of candy.A ribbon can be used for a sophisticated touch.
