How To Make a Leaf Rubbing
Adults can use leaf rubbing and drawing as well as nature craft.It is a great camp project for all ages.
Step 1: To draw from a leaf, find a good one.
The leaf has features on it.There are holes on it.Is it on the ground recently or has it been there for a while?
Step 2: The leaf should be placed on a hard surface.
A piece of cardboard or a notebook is a good idea.The "veins" are at the bottom of the leaf.
Step 3: There is a sheet of paper on the leaf.
You can tape the leaf down to keep it from moving.
Step 4: Rub a crayon, pastel pencil, colored pencil or marker on its side and gently color the paper over the leaf.
You'll be drawing the leaf on the paper.
Step 5: This craft is repeated with other leaves and colors.
Soft and hard leaves can be used to compare drawings.
