How To Make Cells Bigger on Google Sheets on PC or Mac

In order to make a cell larger in width and height, you have to use a desktop internet browser.

Step 1: Go to the internet browser and open the sheets.

If you want to return to sheets.google.com, type it into the address bar.

Step 2: Click the file you want to modify.

Click on the name or icon of the spreadsheet you want to modify to open it.Clicking the option at the top will create a new empty spreadsheet.

Step 3: You can find the heading of the column.

Each column has a heading letter at the top.This will allow you to rearrange the cells in the selected column.Control on Windows or Command on Mac will allow you to resizing multiple columns at the same time.

Step 4: The column heading has a right-hand side border.

If you add a blue highlight to the right-hand side border, your mouse will turn into a rightward arrow.

Step 5: The border of the column is to the right.

The cells in the selected column can be widened by dragging the border to the right.To make a column smaller, click and drag the right border to the left.

Step 6: You can find the row number by looking at the cell.

The rows are numbered on the left-hand side of the spreadsheet.This will allow you to change the size of the row.If you want to change the size of a row, hold Control on Windows or Command on Mac and click on the row number.

Step 7: A row number has a border.

You can highlight the border with blue and turn your arrow into an upward one.

Step 8: Click and drag the border downwards.

This will increase the size of the row.The border can be dragged upwards to make a row smaller.
