How To Make Coconut Yogurt

Coconut yogurt is vegan and dairy-free.If you're in a hurry, you can prepare cheat's coconut yogurt instead of traditional preparation.

Step 1: The coconut milk should be refrigerated.

For a minimum of 8 hours, place the cans of coconut milk in your refrigerator. The coconut water is separated from the thick cream. If you shake the cans of coconut milk, you could combine them again.

Step 2: The cream and other ingredients should be combined.

Place the coconut cream in a large bowl. Then whisk until well-combined and smooth. The coconut milk should not be used at the bottom of the can.It would result in very thin yogurt.Open the capsule and use the powder inside. You could also use store-bought coconut yogurt or kefir. You could easily use the same amount of maple sugar, raw honey, or Agave if you wanted to.If you prefer less-sweet yogurt, there's a chance you won't need the sweetener.

Step 3: The mixture should be transferred to jars that are sterile.

The coconut mixture should be put into a jar.The jar should be sealed tightly with a lid.Goodbacteria will ruin the yogurt if it creeps inside, so it's important to use sterilized jars. The jars can be washed in a dishwasher or boiling water.

Step 4: For 24 hours, yogurt is Fermented.

You can put the yogurt in the oven.Turn the oven light on if you leave it off.The yogurt should be placed in the oven for 12 to 24 hours.A closed oven with the light on will maintain a stable temperature between 105 and 112 degrees Fahrenheit (40 to 43 degrees Celsius), which is ideal for the fermentation process. If you turn the oven on, it will make the interior too hot, which will likely kill the probiotics. The yogurt will get thicker.24 hours would be ideal, but you should give it a minimum of 12 hours.

Step 5: Wait until it's cool.

Transfer the yogurt from the oven to the fridge. If you want the yogurt to be thoroughly cool, chill it for 6 hours. You can combine the layers by stirring them together if the yogurt separates. You can make the yogurt thicker by pouring off the liquid layer and using the thicker layer beneath it.

Step 6: Don't forget to enjoy.

The yogurt is ready to serve. If you have leftover yogurt, store it in a container. It can be used within two weeks.

Step 7: The coconut milk should be combined with the thickener.

Open the cans and pour the coconut milk into a saucepan.Add something to the coconut milk. You need to use the full can of coconut milk to make coconut yogurt. If you want to combine cream and water, shake the cans before opening them. You can sprinkle the agar over the coconut milk without stirring it.Take 1/3 cup of coconut milk with the tapioca and drink it.This mixture should be put into the rest of the coconut milk.

Step 8: Put the coconut mixture in the microwave.

The saucepan should be placed on the stove.Allow the coconut milk to reach a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 10 minutes. When the coconut milk starts to cook, you should whisk the mixture into the milk.Continue heating the coconut milk until it is fully dissolved.

Step 9: The mixture should be cool.

Remove the coconut mixture from the heat and allow it to cool.To find out the temperature of the mixture, use a food thermometer. It's important to let it fall low.The yogurt won't ferment properly if the temperature remains too hot.

Step 10: The sweetener and the probiotics should be added.

The yogurt and sweetener should be put over the surface of the milk. You should only open the capsule if you want to use the powder inside.Alternatively, you could use store-bought coconut yogurt or ferment coconut water. If you want to leave out the raw sugar, you can use maple syrup or Agave.

Step 11: The yogurt should be in the jars.

The coconut mixture can be put into jars. The jars should be sealed with tight lids.Badbacteria could ruin your yogurt if it gets into the jars.If you want to sterilize the jars, run them through the hottest cycle of your dishwasher or soak them in boiling water.

Step 12: The yogurt can be Fermented for 12 to 24 hours.

The yogurt should be in the oven. The oven should be off if the oven light is turned on.The yogurt should ferment in this warm environment for 12 to 24 hours. The probiotics can be killed by extremely hot temperatures. It is ideal for the culturing period if the oven is closed and the light is on.Most yogurt should be ready after 8 to 12 hours if you allow it to sit for 24 hours.

Step 13: The yogurt needs to be refrigerated.

Let the jars of yogurt chill in the fridge for 6 hours. The yogurt should cease to ferment during this time.If the yogurt separates, you can combine it.If you want to use thicker yogurt, strain the liquid and use only the bottom layer.

Step 14: Enjoy.

The coconut yogurt should be ready to eat by this time. The leftovers can be kept in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Step 15: The coconut milk needs to be chilled.

Allow the cans of coconut milk to sit in your refrigerator for at least eight hours. The coconut cream can be separated from the water. If you prefer fresh coconut meat, you can use canned coconut milk.Combine 2 cups of fresh coconut meat with 1/2 cup of coconut water. It is possible to use this blend immediately.

Step 16: Scoop out the solidified cream.

Scoop out the solidified cream from the cans of coconut milk. The watery portion is in the bottom of the can.If you shake the cans, they will combine the cream and water and cause watery yogurt.

Step 17: Put the ingredients together.

Put the coconut milk in your food processor.Add salt and lemon juice to it.When you blend the ingredients, it will be very smooth.Don't add the whole capsule to the blender. If you don't have a capsule, you can use coconut water kefir.

Step 18: It's up to you to adjust as you please.

Try the yogurt. If you want to add liquid sweetener, blend the yogurt again until the sweetener is evenly distributed.Natural liquid cane sugar and maple syrup are good choices. If the yogurt is too thick for your liking, you could add coconut water or purified water to thin it out.

Step 19: Wait until it is cool.

Place the yogurt in the refrigerator.Allow the yogurt to chill for a couple of hours. If you eat the yogurt right away, it will be soft and you may not like it.

Step 20: Enjoy.

If you want to serve it while it's still cool, remove the yogurt from the refrigerator.Use the leftovers within two weeks.
