The carrots take a long time to cook.Chop the celery while they cook.It's a good idea to slice it in rounds.Chop the pieces in half if they get too big.The onion takes longer to cook than the celery.

Step 28: Chop the onion and add it to the pot.

You can stir the celery in the pot.Cut off the ends of the onion.The outer skin needs to be removed.To dice the halves, place the flat side down on the cutting board.3 or 4 cuts across the onion half can be created by cutting parallel along the rings.Cut the onion in two, one way and then the other, creating small, bite-sized pieces.

Step 29: Add the onions to the pot and cook them.

The onions should be put into the other vegetables to start cooking.Continue to stir the vegetables as they cook until the onion starts to turn translucent, then cook them over medium heat.

Step 30: Chicken stock and seasonings are in the 6 cups.

Add the bay leaves and poultry seasoning to the stock.The fresh parsley should be saved for the end.

Step 31: Add the chicken to the pot.

The pot should come to a boil when the heat is turned up.It's a boil when you see it bubbling.Drop the chicken pieces when the water is boiling.If you prefer, you can cut the chicken into bite-sized chunks before adding it to the pot, which will reduce your cooking time.Kitchen shears work well for cutting meat.You don't need to cook chicken for long.

Step 32: For whole pieces, cook the pot for 20 minutes.

Put a lid on the pot.It should be medium-to-low heat.It should be lightly bubbling on top while it cooks the chicken and incorporate the flavor of the spices.You can start with frozen chicken pieces, but you need to cook them in the pot for 40 minutes.If you diced your chicken, you don't need to cook it until you add the noodles.

Step 33: The noodles should be cooked.

When the chicken is done, put the egg noodles into the pot.Allow them to boil for about 6 minutes, until they are tender.Pull a noodle out and run it under water to check for doneness.You can taste it to see if it's done.

Step 34: When the noodles are done, shred the whole chicken.

If you used whole pieces of chicken, use a ladle to spoon them out.Make sure the chicken isn't pink in the middle by shredding it into bite-sized chunks with a knife and fork.The chicken will fall apart easily.If the chicken is still pink in the middle, you can cook it in a pot or microwave it.If you put the chicken back in the pot, you need a new plate for shredding it.Chicken can heat up if you add it a few minutes before the noodles are done cooking.

Step 35: The soup should be finished with parsley.

Throw the shredded chicken back into the pot.If you want to eat the bay leaves, you should throw them in the trash.If you want, you can add some fresh dill at the end.
