How To Marinate Tofu

Tofu is packed in water.It's an excellent source of nutrition and can be used as an alternative to meat.Adding an acidic liquid that has been seasoned to your liking is one way to bring additional flavor and a smooth texture to tofu.

Step 1: Take the tofu out of the carton and put it on a stack of paper towels.

Although you don't have to work with extra firm tofu, the process of marinating it is easier.

Step 2: Place more paper towels on top of tofu and squeeze it to remove some water.

Step 3: Put the tofu on a stack of dry paper towels.

Step 4: Put the tofu in a clean dish towel.

Step 5: Set a heavy object like a book on top of the tofu by wrapping the dish towel around it.

This will allow the tofu to be absorbed into the marinade.For 30 minutes, leave this in place.The tofu will absorb theMarinated better if you press it longer.

Step 6: Place tofu in a bowl, dish or jar after it's been drained.

Step 7: Put your ingredients in a bowl.

A stir fry sauce or a different recipe could be used.

Step 8: Make sure you have enough to cover most of the tofu and coat the rest of it by pouring your marinade into a bowl.

Step 9: You can cut the tofu into chunks.

Step 10: For a minimum of one hour, cover and chill.

If you want, the tofu can beMarinated overnight.If you combine everything in the bowl, stir the mixture.If you want to combine it separately in a jar or other closed container, shake it.

Step 11: Once the tofu is finished, take it out of theMarinate.

Tofu is ready to cook.Enjoy.
