How To Multiply in Excel

You can learn how to multiply numbers in excel.If you want to add two or more numbers to one cell, you can do it against another.

Step 1: Open the spreadsheet.

The green app has a white "X" on it.To continue, you need to click on either PC or Mac.If you want to open an existing presentation in excel, double-click it.

Double-clicking an excel document will open it in excel.

Step 9: Click a cell.

You can type into it if you select it.

Step 10: You can type into the cell.

This will show you the result in your cell.The formula itself will be displayed in the address bar when you click the cell with the formula result.

Step 15: You can open an excel presentation.

To open an excel document, double-click it.

Step 16: Click a cell.

You can type into it if you select it.

Step 17: You can typePRODUCT into your cell.

The command indicates that you want to combine items.

Step 18: You can type in the first cell's name.

The cell at the top of the range of data should be this one.You could type "A1" here.

Step 19: The type is:

.The colon symbol indicates to excel that you want to multiply everything from the first cell through the next cell.

Step 20: Write in another cell's name.

If you want to add all the cells from the first cell to this one, this cell must be in the same column.The formula would be set up if you typed "A5".

Step 21: Then press Enter.

If you hit enter after the last parenthesis, you will see the result in your selected cell.The value in your selected cell will also change if you change the contents of a cell within the multiplication range.
