How To Open (Extract, Unpack) Zip, Rar and 7z Archives on Android
You can learn how to view, open and extract the contents of ZIP, RAR, and 7z folders on an Android device.You need to have downloaded the folder onto your phone in order to do this.
Step 1: Open the Play Store.
It's either on the home screen or in the app drawer.
Step 2: The bar has a search function.
It's at the top of the screen.
Step 3: You can type in winzip.
The drop-down menu will appear below the search bar with the WinZip icon at the top.
Step 4: You can use the Zip UnZip tool.
The folder with the vice around it is next to the icon.This will open the app.
Step 5: If you want to, tap INSTALL.
The app's icon has a green button below it.
Step 6: When prompted, tap accept.
If you do that, you will be prompted to download WinZip to your phone.
Step 7: You can open the tap.
It's a green button instead of an option.If you tap this option, you can open it.
Step 8: Get started by tapping.
It is at the bottom of the home page.You may have to go through a few ads.
Step 9: There is a storage option.
Either option is available.Pick the storage location where you downloaded your ZIP folder.You'll only see the option if your phone doesn't use a memory card.
Step 10: You can select a folder.
There is a folder in which your ZIP folder is saved.You can tap the folder if you downloaded the ZIP folder from an online source.To find the ZIP folder, you may have to navigate through multiple folders.
Step 11: Go to the folder.
You can open the ZIP, RAR, or 7z folder by tapping it.You can view the folder's files with this.Zip files won't work until they're opened.
Step 12: There is a tap.
It is in the left corner of the screen.You can go back to the folder that has your ZIP folder in it.
Step 13: To open a folder, select it.
Hold the folder until the pop-up menu appears.
Step 14: Unzip to...
The pop-up menu has it at the top.
Step 15: To open the folder, select a place.
You can select a storage option as well as a specific folder from one of the following unzip locations.The "My Files" folder is on your phone.Select the location for your drive folder.Select the location of your Dropbox folder.You'll need to make a Dropbox account if you don't have one.
Step 16: Here is where you can tap UNZIP.
It is in the bottom right corner of the screen.If you unpack the folder into a regular folder, you will see the same name as the ZIP folder in your unzip location.
