How to play a backup game on a softmodded Gamecube, and how to soft mod a Wii and play backup Wii, Game cube and Wiiware.
Have you ever wanted to play GameCube backups on your Wii?The Wii has two modes; a wii mode that lets you play wii games and a GameCube mode which restricts the access of the wii to its wii systems and allows you to play GameCube games.It is almost impossible to access most of the normal Wii functions in the Gamecube mode.The DVD read functions in memory are patched to make it possible to read DVR-r's in Gamecube mode.If you do this, you will most likely not be able to play GameCube games, but this can be solved in the future when a restorer is released.Since the process to do that is long and someone else already posted an instructable, you should follow this one.I am not the author of this program, but I do know that Gamecube backups can't be played in the WII backup launcher.It is forbidden to use any of the software to illegally copy games, they are intended only to create and play legal backups of games that you own.It is still against the law in some countries to make copies of games that you own.I can't be held responsible for misuse of these programs.The use of any of the above software is done at your own risk.If you mess something up, don't do it.It is your own fault that any of these programs happen.Use at your own risk.If you have any questions, ask them before you start messing with the Wii.
You will need these items to modify your wii to play Gamecube backups.There is a DVD-r that can be burned at a burner.Some games don't work with.2 and other games do, so you'll have to experiment.
You can find the Gamecube backup launcher 0.2 RAR file on your desktop.You can extract it with Winrar or 7-Zip.The "CONTENTS" folder is where you'll put the Homebrew channel files and folders on your computer.Remove the card from the computer and put it in the Wii.
First thing you should do is turn on your wii.You can choose the channel from the Wii menu.Click on the "cMIOS-res1-Installer" to find it.The screen will go black for a second and then some text will appear.Press A on your wii remote to start the installation process.The screen will go green for a second while the Backup launcher loads.Plug in your Game.
Before you can play a Gamecube backup, you need a DVD-r and an ISO.It's easy to burn the ISO to a DVD-r once you have it.You can shrink several games and put them on your dvd-r with the help of the Gamecube multidisk ISO creator.You can create multiple game ISOs by selecting your Wii region.Click on tools, then settings, and a new window will open.Click on write image file to desk, click on file and browse for source file, then click open to change the write speed to 3x.

You need to brew your Wii at home in order for it to work.To do that you need a larger card.Look up the rest on the internet.You have learned how to home brew your Wii.The steps should be easy.I'm going to take a few minutes to see if it works for me.

I'm doing this to fit more games on a single disc because I own many of the originals.DVD+R can ruin the laser on the wii over a long period of time.It still works, but be careful.

It's possible to use ausb loader for wii games, but not for gamecube games.

When I put in a properly burnt disk, it says error 186 ir 187, but it doesn't load until a few seconds after.

Didn't work.I will explain some of the problems I noticed.The installation was wrong when I tried it.Please wait while installing Custom MIOS.The custom MIOS was successfully installed.I don't know if it's installed or not.I updated my Wii when I played New Super Mario Bros. Wii.I don't know if that's why or not.I think I have a rom.As the list was down, I was not sure if Paper Mario was compatible.I was able to restart my Wii after I tried to run the game on the backup runner.One of the three must have happened.1.The Custom MIOS didn't work.2.The ISO was burned the wrong way.3.The game is notatable.pl0x, any help?
