How To Play Call of Duty 4 on Veteran Difficulty

Have you ever wanted to play Call of Duty 4 but stopped because you heard how hard it was?If you read this guide and follow the instructions, you may be able to get some of the achievements you want or just finish the game on its hardest difficulty.

Step 1: When you can, reload.

You're going to be either dead or lucky if you don't have a full magazine. The majority of the time it's the first one.You don't have to do it in a combat situation if you reload when you can.

Step 2: Take a cover.

If you don't take cover, you're going to be hit, and if you get hit in the Veteran mode for more than a second, then you will die.You can penetrate weak cover with the help of the Call of Duty 4 engine. The enemies in the campaign can't penetrate any cover. This can be used to your advantage. If you are having a hard time hitting an enemy, kill him through your thin cover without having to worry about being shot.Go prone. The enemies will not notice you if you go prone and slowly edge around your cover.

Step 3: Shoot in spurts.

In real life, fully automatic fire-like causes recoil and waste of bullets, but controlled bursts aimed at the head are far more efficient.Use your iron/red-dot sight to get a shot, then pull back the gun and fire a burst.

Step 4: Throw the grenades back.

Call of Duty 4 has an option to throw back grenade that other games don't.If you try to throw back the grenades, you can get killed or injured.Don't be afraid to throw the grenades back at the enemies on Veteran difficulty.

Step 5: There were flash-bang grenades.

When you want to stun enemies, clear a building, evade or just use them as a decoy, using a flash-bang grenade is very useful.Non-lethal flash-bang grenades blind enemies temporarily so you can go in for the kill. It's deadly when used with a shotgun or knife.

Step 6: There is a pistol and a knife.

You have a melee weapon and a secondary weapon. When in a tough spot, reloading your primary weapon is quicker than changing to your secondary weapon. The pistols are deadly and pack a major punch in this game. Some players have eliminated their enemies with a pistol. The knife can kill in one hit. When you finish your knifing motion, your weapon won't be available for a second and that's all it takes for enemies to take you down.

Step 7: There are bombs.

There are many different types of explosives in COD 4.The grenade can be used to clear buildings, eliminate large groups of enemies or flush enemies out.It can hit walls. On infantry gunships, the M203 grenade launcher can potentially leave fewer enemies to fight.

Step 8: There are rifles.

An experienced player can take out more than one squad with the help of the sniper rifles.Aim for head shots if you go prone in a hidden area.

Step 9: Know when to retreat.

"You're Hurt!" is the message you get on the first mission.Get to cover! It's important that you follow this instruction because checkpoints are sparse so dying isn't the best idea.

Step 10: Enemies don't stop re-spawning.

It is possible to use every strategy in this 'How to' and not be successful until you realize a lot of stages have units that will never stop respawning. No matter how many you kill and how thin you think you are, they will return before you can fully advance.Prepare to get creative.Gas grenades and being crazy are two ways to get around the infinite respawn.

Step 11: Check-Points are important.

The best way to beat the hardest levels is by using checkpoints. How do you get to the hard checkpoint? Some of the tips can be used.Being crazy might work.Look at the next step.

Step 12: Don't be afraid of being crazy.

Why does being crazy work for you?If you run ahead through fire, dive behind some cover and stay there, that will get you through the hardest stages of COD4.There are two reasons why this is true.Your team will never die.Your team advances as far as possible. If you use these two facts together, your team will do the same.If you wait long enough, they will advance slowly and steadily, killing everyone along the way, and eventually catching up with you.You should be told by your screen that you reached a checkpoint.

Step 13: Pulling and releasing.

Call of Duty 4 has an auto-aim feature. The cross-hair will be automatically centered on the enemy when you click the "aim" button. It is a great way of defusing a squad.
