How To Play Music with Alexa

You can learn how to play music using popular music services like Amazon Music and others.Once you've linked your music accounts, you can select one to be your default music service and begin using voice commands to play music on your device.

Step 1: You can open the app.

If you have a mobile phone, open the app and sign in to your Amazon account.The light-blue app has a white outline of a speech bubble.Make sure you are signed in to the same account that you registered your device with.

Step 2: You can tap.

There is a three-lined icon in the top left corner of the screen.There is a pop-out menu on the left side of the screen.

Step 3: Music, video, and books can be tapped.

The first option in the menu is under your account name.

Step 4: Pick the music service you want to link to.

There is a music section on the page.If you want to link any of the music services, you need to tap on them.

Step 5: Now you can link your account.

Step 6: To use the app, tap.

Step 8: Music and media can be tapped.

Step 10: A default music library is what you should choose.

You can use voice commands without specifying which service to use if you choose the streaming service you want to be the default.The services that have already been installed are the only options available.

Step 11: There is a default station service.

Step 12: You have to tap Done.

The button is at the bottom of the page.

Step 13: Say "Alexa".

If you say wake, she will listen for your next command.If you've changed the default wake command to "Echo," "Amazon," or some other command, then use the wake commands you previously set.

Step 14: Any artist, song, album or genre can be asked to be played.

If you don't specify what service you want to use, it will use whatever service is set at the default.You could say, for example, "Alexa, play Incense and Peppermints by the Strawberry Alarm Clock on Spotify."If you just say an artist's name, the songs by that artist will be shuffled for you to listen to.

Step 15: Playback controls can be used withAlexa.

Voice commands can be used to control things like your phone's music app or your stereo.You can say, "Alexa, pause, resume, and stop""Alexa, skip, next song/track" is what you can say."Alexa, previous song/track"You can say, "Alexa, volume up/down."

Step 16: Ask about the song that is being played.

What is this song?What is this album?Who plays this song?What year did this song come out?

Step 17: Commands will help you find new music.

"Listen to the top songs in Chicago.""Alexa, play the top songs in France.""Alexa, play like this.""Alexa, play songs that are similar to Portugal the Man.""Listen to some Beatles songs, I haven't heard them in a while.""Listen to the music I was listening to on Wednesday."Listen to what I was listening to yesterday morning.
