How To Please pray for Taraweeh at home.

Taraweeh is a sunnah prayer that is performed after sundown. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that if you observe optional prayer during the month of Ramadan, you will have your past sins pardoned.Men can attend Taraweeh prayers at their mosque. The Taraweeh prayer can be prayed at home by women and men who are unable to attend.Read on to find out how to do it.

Step 1: Pick the number of rak'ah you are going to pray for.

A rak'ah is a unit of prayer. It's up to you how many people you want to pray with. This is following the sunnah if you pray your rak'ah two by two and conclude it with the Witr prayer. The companions of the Prophet narrated that he performed the night prayer in pairs and made it odd by observing one Rak'ah.

Step 2: The area should be free of impurities.

Your body, clothes, and the place of prayer are included.Wudu should be performed. Before you start praying, you must be pure. You have to perform Wudu before you do.If you have urinated, defecated, passed gas, bled excessively, or fallen asleep while leaning against something, you need to perform wudu.Stand away from the entrance. If you don't know if your area is clean, spread a mat or cloth on the floor. The mat is very important to Islamic culture.

Step 3: If necessary, perform ghusl.

Some circumstances will require you to perform ghusl instead of wudu to be cleansed after removing najas. You need to perform ghusl if you want to pray after having sex, ending your menstruation period, giving birth, or ejaculating. You have to wash your body and hair with water to perform ghusl. You should wash 3 times. When performing wudu or ghusl, anything that prevents water from entering the body must be removed, including things such as nail polish, accessories, and waterproof mascara.

Step 4: If needed, perform tayammum.

A Muslim may choose to perform tayammum instead of wudu or ghusl if he or she can't use water. This rite uses clean soil or dirt that hasn't been used before.

Step 5: Look at the Qibla.

Muslims face this direction when praying towards the Holy Ka'bah. The holiest place for Muslims in the world is the Holy Mosque in Mecca.Muslims are required to face the Ka'bah five times a day.

Step 6: You should cover yourself.

Both men and women need to cover their skin during the prayer. While women must cover their faces and hands, men must keep their knees covered.During prayer movements, the material must cover the body.If bending causes a piece of material to slip and expose skin on a woman's neck, she would need to ensure that her clothing is tucked in properly or put more clothing on before she can complete her prayer.

Step 7: Make Taraweeh's intentions known.

If you want to pray Taraweeh, you do not need to say it in a loud voice.

Step 8: Say Allahu Akbar by raising your hands.

This means "Allah is the greatest."You are allowed to sit down if you can't stand up.The hands should be raised to the shoulders. Both ways are valid.

Step 9: Put your right hand over your left.

There is a difference of opinion between Islamic schools of jurisprudence. All opinions are valid. You must keep focused as you begin the prayer.Fix your eyes so that you don't see anything. It is disliked to look up when praying. The Prophet said that if people raised their eyes to the heaven during prayer, their sight would be taken away.

Step 10: Get the Du'a al Istiftah.

The opening is du'a.It is "subhanakal-lahumma, wabihamdika watabarakas-muka watala, judduka wal ilaha ghayruk".Say, "a'auodu billaahi minash-shaytaanir rajeem"

Step 11: Refer to al Ftiah.

This is an important part of the prayer. It must be said in the two rak'ahs of Taraweeh. It's "Alhamdu lillahi rabbi, Ar-rahmanir, Maaliki yawmid, Iyyaka na'budu, and Ihdinas siraatal mustaqeem."

Step 12: Allow any other surah.

Someone who has memorised the Qur'an is encouraged to recite a long surah. If you know how many surahs there are, you can recite them in the correct order.

Step 13: Say "Allahu Akbar" and bend down.

This is the position.Try to make your back as straight as possible.Your body doesn't need to be a perfect angle.Subhanna Rabbiyal Adheem bowed three times. This means thatrious is my Lord. Some schools of jurisprudence say that you should raise your hands, while others don't.Both opinions are valid.

Step 14: Raise from the ground.

While rising up, say the name of the prophet."Allah hears those who praise Him" is what it means.Stand up and say Rabana Walakal Hamd (Our Lord, all praise is for you) once.Praise which is abundant, excellent and blessed can be added after. Some schools of jurisprudence say that you should raise your hands after you've raised back up.Both opinions are valid.

Step 15: Say Allahu Akbar.

There is a position called the sajdah.Place your hands on the floor.Subhanna Rabbiyal A'laa says "Glorious is my Lord, the most High" three times when you are fully positioned. The floor should not have your forearms on it.According to some schools of jurisprudence, you should go into sajdah with your knees first, while others say you need to use your hands. Both opinions are valid.

Step 16: Sit on your knees as you rise from sajdah.

Put your left foot on the floor. The toes on your right foot should be on the floor.Put your hands on your thigh. It is possible to recite Allaahumma-ghfir lee warhamnee wajburnee, wa 'aafinee war'zuqnee.Allah, forgive me, there are other du'as that you can recite in this position.Say Subhanna Rabbiyal a'laa three times.

Step 17: Stand up and say Allahu Akbar.

You need to complete another rak'ah the same way you did the first one.

Step 18: Stay seated after the second rak'ah.

In this sitting position, you need to recite certain words.At-tahiyyaatu Lillaahi wa-salaawaatuAs-salaamu, ayyuha-Nabiyyu, wa barakaatuhu.As-salaamu, wa ibaad-illaah-is-saaliheen.All praise, prayers, and pure words are due to Allaah.Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allaah.Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allaah.I know that there is no god except Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger.Innaka hameedun majeed, durood: Allaahumma salli Muhammad, wa ‘ala aali Muhammad."O Allaah, send prayers to Muhammad and the family."O Allaah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibraaheem and his family, you are indeed Worthy of Praise, Full of Glory.

Step 19: Use tasleem to finish the prayer.

While turning your head to the right, say "'As-salamu alaykum wa Rahmatullah".

Step 20: Continue praying until you are satisfied.

It is possible to read how many rak'ahs you are comfortable with.People usually pray nine, eleven or thirteen rak'ahs, but you can read less.In the Qur'an, Allah says, "Your Lord knows that you sometimes stand up in Prayer nearly two-thirds of the night, and sometimes half or one-third of it."

Step 21: The Taraweeh should be concluded with the Witr prayer.

You need to pray an odd number of Witr rak'ahs when you've prayed two-by-two.People usually pray one or three rak'ah Witr. They'll pray 12 rak'ahs of Taraweeh, then one of Witr to make up the total.
