You can learn how to start a thread under a chat message in a Slack channel or respond to a direct message thread using a mobile device.
Step 1: You can open it on your phone.
The app looks like an "S" in a colored circle.You can log in to the workspace you want to edit if you tap the blue button in the lower- left corner.
Step 2: The workspace icon is on the top left.
The initials of your workspace's name can be seen in the upper- left corner of the screen.The menu panel can be opened on the left-hand side.
Step 3: The channel is called CHANNELS.
Go to your navigation menu and tap a chat channel.The channel conversation will begin with this.
Step 4: There is a chat conversation.
This will open the message on the new page.
Step 5: You can start a thread by pressing the start button.
You will be able to start a reply thread under the selected chat message.You won't see the button if there is another reply under this message.The field at the bottom of the page can be tapped.
Step 6: You should type in your reply.
You can type your message on the keyboard or paste it into the clipboard.
Step 7: You can tap the icon.
You can start a new thread below the selected message and post your reply here.The channel chat shows your reply below the original message.
Step 8: You can open it on your phone.

Step 10: Under Direct Messages you can tap your contact's name.
You can find your contact's name under the directions heading on the menu.The direct message thread between you and your contact can be opened with this.Under the UNREADS heading on the menu panel is where you'll find your contact's message if you haven't read it yet.
Step 11: You can type your message into the field.
You can enter your message at the bottom of the direct message conversation.
Step 12: You can tap on the icon.
The reply to your contact will be sent as a direct message.
