I own a 2012 kia optima hybrid.The engine does not start.Do not drive because of the hybrid system warning safety stop.
It starts every few hours until I shut it down.Can I drive like this?
The same thing happened to me when I had an engine.The hybrid warning system said not to run the engine.The engine wouldn't start after I replaced it.A friend of a hybrid mechanic.His looked like a computer.The hybrid system has been rebooted.It started right away.I hope this helped.
The 2012 hybrid gave me an error last night.The electric motor or transmission seems to be the problem.I can hear a clicking noise when I am in full stop and only the electric motor is on.It sounds similar to what you would hear if you were standing under a power line.The electric engine seems to have trouble getting into the first gear when I accelerate from a full stop.It does a hard gear change when it breaks.The car had a bad code that said the transmission oil was either dirty or low.I replaced the trans oil with a new one.The problem was not fixed.After the transmission oil was replaced, I got a warning from the hybrid system.The transmission oil was black.Have you had the same experience?Did you find a solution?
I had a similar problem with my 2012 Optima hybrid guru.The transmission was repaced twice.There have been no problems with the trans since 100K.The hybrid system warning was on the dash yesterday.I'm not sure what the problem is.Not going to the dealer.
The same thing had been happening to my car.It did it on a long trip.If the car started again without any warning lights, they said to turn it off and then drive it.It happened about 6 times when I returned from Vegas, but I was able to complete the trip.A repair shop replaced a sensor.That was March of last year.Car didn't feel the same, lack of power and choking going up inclines.The shift developed in reverse.The transmission input shaft speed sensor has an error code.Metal was found on the transmission that was replaced.Hard shift remained despite the rebuilt transmission.Even the person could not figure it out.After 11 months, the hybrid battery warning came on.Does that mean the battery is going?Or?
