How To Reset the Android Tablet Pattern Lock

You can learn how to change the pattern you use to access your home screen.If you forget your pattern, you will learn how to get back into your device.The only way to recover a forgotten pattern is to wipe the data from the device and start over.

Step 1: Open the settings on your phone.

To get there, you have to drag the notification panel down from the top of the home screen.You can use another method if you can't log in to your phone because you forgot the lock pattern.

Step 2: The security menu has a tap on it.

You may have to use some tablets.

Step 3: Go to the screen lock.

You might have to scroll down to see it.

Step 4: Enter your password, lock pattern, or PIN to continue.

If you've already set up a lock, you don't have to do this.

Step 5: You can choose the pattern option.

You can trace a pattern across a set of dots with this option.

Step 6: To create a pattern, drag your finger across dots.

When you draw the pattern for the first time, you'll be asked to draw it again.

Step 7: To save your pattern, tap confirm.

The new pattern will take effect.When you're sure you remember, practice your new pattern over and over again.You can't access your data if you forget your pattern.

Step 8: You can find it on any computer, phone, or tablets.

If you have forgotten your lock pattern on your tablets, you will need to reset them back to their original factory settings.The easiest way to find a device is through a web browser.If you haven't backed it up, the data will be lost.By default, Find My Device is enabled on most tablets.Try a different method if you disabled this feature.If you have enabled Smart Lock to automatically unlocked your phone in certain locations, you can just bring the device to that location to get back in.

Step 9: You need to sign in to your account.

You need to use the same password and usernames to log into the locked tablet.

Step 10: Pick your device.

If you have more than one device connected to this account, you'll only have to choose the tablet.

Step 11: Follow the on-screen instructions if you click Erase.

The contents of your tablets will be deleted so that you can set it up as new.You will be prompted to sign in with your account when the process is complete.

Step 12: Set up your device as new as possible.

Log in with your account and follow the instructions on the screen to get your device back online.The setup process will walk you through the process of protecting your phone with a new pattern, PIN, password, or Biometrics in the future.

Step 13: You should turn off your device.

Step 15: Go to the console.

If you want to do this on a popular model, you need to use the Volume Up button, Volume Down button and the Power button.When you see the "Start" menu, press Volume Down twice to highlight and then press the Power button.Press the Volume Down button to highlight, then press Power to select it.

Step 16: Click on the Wipe Data / Factory Reset option.

To navigate to the menu option, use the volume keys and press Power.

Step 17: To confirm, select yes.

The Power button can be used to select this option on some tablets.The original factory settings will be reset.You'll be prompted to restart the tablet once the reset is complete.

Step 18: To complete the process, select Reboot System now.

This option is not required on all tablets.You'll be asked to set your tablet up as new once it's reset.

Step 19: Set up your device as new as possible.

Log in with your account and follow the instructions on the screen to get your device back online.The setup process will walk you through the process of protecting your phone with a new pattern, PIN, password, or Biometrics in the future.

Step 20: Press the Power button to turn it on.

The screen unlock feature is brought up by this.This method only works for the newer versions of the operating system.You will need to know the password for the account associated with this device.

Step 21: Guess the pattern.

Step 22: Go to the forgotten pattern.
