How To Restore a Synthetic Wig

It is easy to restore a synthetic wig.To make the hair soft again, use a fabric softener spray or use warm water and dishwashing liquid to clean the wig. Both methods will leave your wigs looking new and shiny.

Step 1: In a spray bottle, mix equal amounts of water and fabric softener.

Add a spray bottle with cold water and fabric softener in it.Shake the bottle to combine the liquids after attaching the lid tightly.Combine the water and fabric softener into a bottle.Hot water can damage your wig.

Step 2: You can spray your wig with the fabric softener spray.

The spray made the synthetic fibres soft and shiny. When the hair is wet, spray the top layer of the wig.Next, spray the strands under the top layer of hair.Make the floor slippery by spraying the wig over the sink.

Step 3: To remove excess spray, use a towel.

Synthetic wigs can be damaged by rubbing with a towel. To absorb drips of water, lightly rub the hair with a towel. The wig will dry out overnight, so don't worry if it's still damp.Blow-drying your wig can weaken it.

Step 4: The wig should be left on a coat stand.

Place the wig on the coat stand. If you want the wig to be completely dry before you put it on, leave it for 6 - 10 hours.Place the wig on a hook if you don't have a coat stand.

Step 5: You should brush your wig with a paddle brush.

It makes the hair look smooth.Start at the roots and work your way down to the ends of the hair. The wig can be pulled out of the hair with too much tugging. If you want to break down any knots, use a fine comb. The strands of the wig can be pulled out by brushing the hair when it is wet.

Step 6: The sink should be filled with warm water and a small amount of dishwashing liquid.

Add the water and dishwashing liquid if your sink is clean.Use your hand to mix the water and liquid together. You can use a bucket if you don't have a clean sink.Hot water can damage a wig.Warm water will comfortably immerse your hand in.

Step 7: Put the wig in the water and liquid.

Take the wig out of the sink and put it in the water.Push down on all the strands to make sure they absorb the water.

Step 8: Make up can be wiped off with your fingers.

There are signs of grease in the wig.Use your fingers to push the dirt out of the hair. The downward motions help smooth the hair.If you rub the hair, it can become frizzy.

Step 9: The wig needs to be dunked into cold water.

You can refill the warm water and dishwashing liquid from the sink with cold water. The wig should be immersed in the cold water.Lift the wig from the sink.If the wig still looks soapy, empty the sink and immerse it in fresh water again.

Step 10: If you have excess water, leave it to dry on a towel.

Work your way down to the ends of the wig by squeezing the hair at the top.Rest the wig on a towel after squeezing out the bulk of the water. It usually takes about 12 hours for wigs to dry. Before you wear the wig, make sure it is completely dry.

Step 11: The hair should be brushed with a brush.

Either place the wig on a coat stand or hold it.Then, use a round brush to brush the hair downward. It makes the hair feel soft and helps to remove knots. If you don't have a round brush, use a regular one.
