How To Stop Windows from Powering Off USB Devices
You can learn how to prevent Windows from turning on the devices that are connected to your PC.
Step 1: The control panel can be opened.
Click in the search results if you want to do this.
Step 2: Click on Hardware and Sound.
Step 3: Click on power options.
Step 4: Next to your current power plan, click Change plan settings.
One of the power plans has a radio button to the left of it's name.
Step 5: Click Change advanced power settings.
There is a blue link at the bottom of the window.
Step 6: Next to the settings, click +.
Additional options will show up.
Step 7: Select disabled from the menu.
Step 8: Click OK if you want to apply.
Windows can't power down the devices that are connected to the PC.
