You can fill travel-sized bottles with either a measuring cup or a filling machine.To fill your bottles with your lotion, squeeze or pour it into them.It is easy to pack for vacation, package handmade gifts, or transfer lotion from one bottle to another with a few tools.
Step 1: The measuring cup is microwave safe.
When heating up your lotion, use a spatula to scoop it into a measuring cup.If you want to pour the lotion into the new bottle after you warm it up, choose a measuring cup with a spout.
Step 2: The timer should be set for 30 seconds when you put the measuring cup in the microwave.
When it reaches around 120 F, it's easy to pour.To test the temperature, you can use an instant read thermometer.If you want to keep the lotion cool, try to avoid overheating it.condensation on the inside of your bottle can be created by heating up your lotion too much.
Step 3: You can mix it up with a spoon.
If you want to mix up your product, place a spoon inside your container and swirl it around.The heat will pour out evenly through this distribution.As you are mixing your lotion, you can add ingredients like essential oils or Preservative.
Step 4: If you want to avoid spills, put a funnel in the top of your bottle.
It is easy to mess with a different bottle of lotion.If you want to help guide the lotion into the bottle, use a funnel.It is possible to use a small or medium sized funnel.As you pour your lotion, hold the funnel at the neck of the bottle.The top of your bottle has the tip of the funnel in it.
Step 5: From the measuring cup, put your lotion into your bottle.
If you use a funnel, pour the lotion through it.As you pour, the funnel will catch spills.If you don't use a funnel, put the measuring cup above the bottle and pour the lotion directly inside.Keep your arm straight as you pour.Continue pouring until it reaches the bottle's neck.Holding the measuring cup above the bottle helps it flow through the spout.It is okay if you spill some lotion.You can wipe it off with a paper towel or a cloth.
Step 6: Once you fill your bottle to the neck, put your lid back on.
Attach your topper to the bottle by placing it on top of it.It's easier to screw on your lid if you leave 4–2 in at the top.You can use either a plastic lid or a hand pump.
Step 7: You can put your lotion in a plastic bag or pastry bag.
Spread your lotion into your bag by using a spatula.You can squeeze out air from the bag by moving the lotion towards the bottom.When you are done filling the bag, seal it up.If filling a large bottle, fill the bag completely.If you are filling travel-size or small bottles, add about 2–1 c of lotion into your bag.
Step 8: Cut the bag's tip with scissors.
Cut either the left or right side of the bag.Cut the side at the skinny end if you are using a pastry bag.To make a small pour spout, hold your scissors at a 45 degree angle and cut off 16 in (0.16 cm) from it.You can squeeze more lotion out at a time if you cut a large chunk of plastic off the end.This can get messy, so be aware of how much you cut off.
Step 9: To fill them up, put the tip of the bag into the bottle.
The first 4–2 in of the bag will fit inside the bottle.Put pressure on your bag towards the tip to release your lotion.Use your hand to move the lotion towards the tip if it isn't coming out evenly.You can easily squeeze it out.
Step 10: If you want to fit more inside, place your bottle on the table.
There is some extra space on the sides of the bottle.Take the bag out of the bottle and gently tap it on the table.You can fill it as full as possible by moving the lotion around in your bottle.It is easier to fill a bottle to the neck with this.
Step 11: When you reach the neck of the bottle, replace the lid.
Take your bag out of the bottle and put it on the side.Pick up your lid and put it back on top.You can either fill another bottle or throw away the plastic bag.If you have any left over in your bag, squeeze it into your main container.It would be better if you didn't waste any lotion.Slowly lower the lid onto the top if your bottle has an applicator tube that goes inside.You can release your lotion by pressing down on the applicator a few times.
Step 12: Purchase a filling machine online.

Step 13: Follow your instructions to fill the main tank.
The top of the machine is where the main tank is located.Remove the lid and pour your lotion inside.If you are having trouble, you can use a spatula.Read your instructions carefully to make sure you are filling the tank correctly.
Step 14: There is a bowl underneath the filling tip.
The thin metal tube is used for the filling tip.If you leave the hand lever in the down position for just a second or two, the lotion can trickle from the filling tip.Place a bowl underneath the metal tip.You can wash the drips away if they fall into the bowl.It's a good idea to make sure that lotion doesn't wind up on your bottles.
Step 15: The filling tip should be slightly inside the opening.
If you want to pour your lotion into the bottles, hold the bottle up to the filling tip and place it around the tip.The lotion can't be sprayed as it comes out.It makes sure you don't miss the tip of the bottle while filling it.
Step 16: The pull-down lever can be used to start and stop the flow of lotion.
The bottle should be held in 1 hand.Pull the lever with the other hand to release the lotion from the machine.The lever should be moved back to the upwards position if you want to stop the flow of lotion.It will come out quickly.
Step 17: The bottle needs to be filled until you reach the top.
One pump of the lever will most likely fill your bottle.Pull the lever again if your bottle is not completely full after the first pump.Lift the handle to stop the lotion from coming out.Continue filling your bottles after your bottle is full.
