How To Transfer Contacts from One Android to Another Android Device

You can back up and transfer your contacts from one device to another.

Step 1: You can open your settings.

The gear-shaped icon will be on one of your home screens or in the App Drawer.

Step 2: The Personal tab has a tap on it.

Step 3: You can backup and reset by scrolling down and tapping.

There is an orange section of options.

Step 4: The data switch needs to be moved to the "On" position.

If you do this, your contacts will be backed up to your account.

Step 5: Your other device can be unlocked.

Step 6: You can open your other settings.

Step 7: The Personal tab has a tap on it.

Step 8: Go to Accounts and scroll down.

There is a reset in the orange section of options.

Step 9: Go to Add account.

Step 10: Select a search engine.

Step 11: Click on the email address you want to type in.

Step 12: You can tap next.

Step 13: You need to type in the email's password.

Step 14: You can tap next.

Step 15: Accept.

Step 16: The device data box needs to be checked.

Step 17: Next, tap.

You should be able to retrieve data from your account on your other phone.

Step 18: You can open the Dialer app on your phone.

One of your home screens should have this app on it.

Step 19: You can tap.

You should see this in the top right corner of your screen.

Step 20: You can choose to import or export.

Step 21: Select the file to be exported to.

It is possible that this also means export to sim.

Step 22: Allow when prompted.

Step 23: Select the card you want to use.

Step 24: Go to save.

Step 25: Remove your card and put it in a new device.

Depending on your device type, this process will be different.You might want to have a carrier store employee swap your cards for you.
