How To Transfer Files to SD Card on Android

You can learn how to move any file from your device's internal storage to your SD card.

Step 1: You can open your file manager app.

You can browse the directories on your device with file managers.You can install a stock file manager app from the Play Store if you don't already have one.There are plenty of free and paid file managers here.

Step 2: You can tap device or internal storage.

The folders on your device's internal hard drive will be shown in this directory.

Step 3: You can find the file that you want to transfer.

You can find the file you want to move to your SD card by browsing your device's internal storage by tapping on different folders.The back button on your device can be used to exit a folder.

Step 4: Hold the file you want to transfer.

This will show the file at the top of the screen.You can choose more files to transfer after you highlight the first one.

Step 5: The More button can be tapped.

You can find it in the upper-right corner of your screen.The button will open a menu.There are three vertical dots or three horizontal lines instead of the More button on some devices.This icon can be tapped in this case.

Step 6: On the drop-down menu, choose Move or Move to.

You can transfer selected files to a different location with this option.You will be asked to choose a new location for the file.

Step 7: Select the card you want to use.

You may need to make your selection on your navigation panel or in a new pop-up window.You can open a menu of all the folders on your card by tapping it.

Step 8: There is a folder in your card.

You can find the folder where you want to move your file bytapping on it.

Step 9: If you want to, tap Done or OK.

You will be moved to this location with your selected file.Your device's internal storage is no longer adequate for storing your file.
