You can learn how to remove the Flipboard app from a phone.You can uninstall Flipboard from the menu in the app store.The app that comes with the phones is called Flipboard Briefing.Flipboard Briefing is a system software that can't be deleted.It can be disabled.
Step 1: You can open the app drawer on your phone.
From the bottom of the screen, you can open the Apps menu.There is an icon that looks like 9 small squares.You can open the Apps menu if you see this icon on your Home screen.
Step 2: You can hold the Flipboard icon.
There is a white "F" inside the red icon.The app icon will either start wiggling or you will see a menu at the top or bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Select uninstall.
This should be one of the options on the menu if you see it.If not, drag the icon to the part of the screen that says uninstall or display a trash can icon.
Step 4: If you want to confirm, tap uninstall.
This will remove Flipboard from your phone.
Step 5: Open the settings on your phone.
The easiest way to do this is to hit the gear icon at the top-right corner.You will find the app in the Apps menu if you don't see this icon.It has an icon that looks like a gear.
Step 6: Click the apps to scroll down.
You can see a list of apps on your phone.
Step 7: Click on the Flipboard to scroll down.
There is a red icon with a white "F" inside.
Step 8: You can tap uninstall.
There will be a confirmation message.
Step 9: If you want to, tap OK.
The Flipboard is no longer being used.
Step 10: Go to the Play Store.
It has an icon that looks like a triangle.You can open the Play Store with an icon on your Home screen.
Step 11: Click the Search icon if you want to type flipboard in the search bar.
There is a bar at the top of the screen.The on-screen keyboard can be used to type "Flipboard."You can use the magnifying glass icon on the keyboard.This searches for something.
Step 12: You can tap on the board.
It is next to a red icon with a white "F" in your search results.
Step 13: Go to uninstall.
The information page has a white button under it.
Step 14: You can uninstall in the pop-up.
This shows that you want to uninstall Flipboard.
Step 15: You can pinch your fingers on the Home screen.
Place your thumb and index finger on the Home screen to zoom in.You can see a preview of your home screen.The same way you uninstall regular Flipboard, you may be able to uninstall flipboard briefings.Some devices won't let you uninstall it.If you can't uninstall it, disabling it is the best thing to do.
Step 16: Go left to the Flipboard page.
It's the furthest page to the right.
Step 17: You can check the box or tap the switch.
You can either see a box at the top of the page or a switch in the upper-right corner.To turn this page off, uncheck the box or tap on the switch.The page is disabled and will fade.
