How To Update Microsoft Internet Explorer

You can learn how to update your Microsoft Internet Explorer browser.Internet Explorer 11 can't be upgraded past version 11 because of Microsoft's discontinued support.Internet Explorer 11 is included in Windows 10 even though Microsoft Edge is the default browser.

Step 1: Go to the Internet Explorer 11 download page at support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/18520/download-internet-explorer-11-offline-installer

You can download Microsoft's Internet Explorer 11 in a web browser.

Step 2: To find your preferred language, scroll down.

The left side of the page has a list of languages.

Step 3: You can click on your operating system.

To the right of your language is the operating system on your computer.Clicking this link will prompt you to download the setup file.If you choose the correct version of Windows, the setup file for Windows 7 will work on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.If you don't know your computer's bit number, you can view it by right-clicking this PC, clicking and looking for the part number to the right of "System type".

Step 4: You can double-click the Internet Explorer setup icon.

It is most likely on your computer.

Step 5: When prompted, click Yes.

If you do that, you will be taken to the Internet Explorer 11 installation window.

Step 6: Follow the instructions on the screen.

This will include agreeing to Microsoft's terms of use by clicking and then clicking, as well as selecting an install location and determining whether or not you want a desktop shortcut.

Step 7: Click to finish.

Click the Windows logo in the bottom- left corner of the screen if you want to do so.

Step 15: Click it.

There is a Start window in the lower left corner.The settings page will open if you do that.

Step 16: Click Update and security.

There is an option near the bottom of the settings page.

Step 17: You can check for updates.

There is a button at the top of the Update & Security page.

Step 18: Wait for the updates to finish installing.

If you see "Your device is up to date" at the top of the page, your Microsoft Edge browser has been updated.
