Microsoft stopped issuing Windows Phone updates other than those related to security issues in October.The final support date is December 10, 2019.You can learn how to make sure your Windows Phone has the most recent updates.
Step 1: Plug your phone into the power source.
Before you start an update, make sure your phone is fully charged and connected to the power.Before attempting an update, make sure your phone has at least 500MB of free space.If you aren't already connected to the internet, you should be.
Step 2: Go to the top of the screen.
There will be a list of tiles.
Step 3: The tile has settings.
The tile list should have it at the bottom-right corner.
Step 4: Click Update and security if you scroll down.
The option has two curved arrows.
Step 5: You can update your phone with a tap.
It is at the top of the list.
Step 6: Check for updates.
If there is no update, you will see a message that says you are already running the latest version.You can see its version number if an update is available.
Step 7: Follow the on-screen instructions if you tap the update.
The most recent updates will be installed on your phone.

It is at the top of the page.You will see a message at the top of the screen that tells you if an update is available.
Step 13: You can update your Windows Phone by pressing the install button.
The button will appear at the top of the page if an update is available.To run the update, follow the instructions on the screen.When the update is complete, your phone will restart.Select a time from the "Preferred installation time" menu to install the update later.If there is no update, you will see a message that says your phone is up to date.
