How To Use a Ouija Board

A Ouija board has letters from A to Z, numbers from 0 to 9, and a Sun and Moon symbol.A "planchette" is a device that can be used to answer questions. In popular culture, these boards are considered to be a "spiritual gateway" used to contact the dead; however, the only evidence for this is the various accounts of users. Are you willing to give it a try?

Step 1: Take a few friends.

One of the main rules of Ouija is that you have to play with at least one other person. If it's a dark night. Two people are ideal. The more people you have, the more busy it can be.You could confuse the spirits.Make sure everyone stays calm and respectful, more than two is fine.

Step 2: Set the mood.

Before contacting "the other side" you may want to get in the mood by using candles, incense, and burning sagebrush.Timing is what Ouija is all about.Sometimes the board is very responsive and sometimes it is sleepy. It's best to try it at night or the early hours of the morning. All distraction should be removed. There shouldn't be loud music, noise from the television or kids running around.Your attention is required in order to be successful.Don't use your phones! The progress and mood are disrupted by accepting a call in the middle of the conversation.

Step 3: You should grab a seat.

The original instructions state that the board should be placed on the knees of the two participants."Lady and gentleman preferred" is what it says.Take it for what it is worth. This shouldn't affect your experience at all. It's fine to work on a table or floor.Everyone can see and keep their fingers on the planchette. When the planchette is moving fast and the letters need to be quickly processed, the participants should be at the base of the board. The intended message could be confused by viewing the board upside down.

Step 4: Be patient.

The spirit needs some time to warm up.You might not get answers right away.Don't give in.There are myths about moving the planchette to warm it up.Slow answers will not work with the planchette because the spirit is the one giving the answers. The planchette can be moved faster by some spirits. The planchette can move very quickly or very slowly.Don't get angry if you get a message from your planchette.Wait it out or close the board.

Step 5: Be courteous.

Talk to the spirit if you are speaking to it.Be friendly.He/she will be encouraged to cooperate with you.You may not get the answers you are looking for. This isn't the board's fault. It will ruin the vibe of the board and the room if you get angry or violent.

Step 6: Simply start.

It's best that you don't ask questions on the content and length of the exam.Start talking like a normal conversation.Your first questions should be easy to answer. How many people are in the room?Do you have a good spirit? What is your full name?

Step 7: Be careful what you wish for.

You don't want to stay up all night thinking of your death.Don't ask if there is an answer to the question. It will be a joke if you choose to ask about your future.Like us, spirits can't see the future. If they tell you that your sister is going to die in a week, they're messing with you.Don't ask dumb questions. What did Billy tell his sister about me?It isn't something your spirit would want to waste time on.It would take a long time to spell the answer out.Do not ask for physical signs. It's just asking for trouble. Those you're communicating with may not be able to follow up.It's a good idea to keep it contained. Some spirits are okay with asking for proof. It can be different.Don't believe everything the board says to you.Don't run in front of the buses if it says you're going to die in 10 minutes. That's what you're doing, not the prophecy being correct.

Step 8: Pick something that's medium.

One person should be asked all the questions. The ones on the other side can't get confused. All players should have a say in the questions. The medium should address the questions to the board.

Step 9: Put your fingers on thechette.

The board should be resting on the "G" space.Ask the players to place their fingers on the planchette. If you want to ask a question, slowly move the planchette in circles. If you hold it stiffly, it won't move as quickly.

Step 10: An opening ritual should be developed.

This could be a prayer, a welcome, or something else. The medium should greet the spirits and say that positive energy is welcome.Place jewels or other relics on the board. If you want to talk to a dead relative, have something nearby.

Step 11: You can ask a question.

As you get used to that specific session, these should be simple. If your spirit tells you that he/she is bad, it's best to close the board and resume later.Don't mirror rude responses with your own rude behavior. You don't start using words that are offensive.Say goodbye to the spirits and quit if you get too scared.

Step 12: Don't let it get in the way of concentrating.

All players need to clear their minds and focus on the question at hand to get the best results.Everyone needs to be respectful while playing. It's a good idea to kick a friend out of the room if they are laughing or asking silly questions. As the planchette moves, you might want to have one person serve as the writer.Responses can get lengthy and need to be worked out.

Step 13: You can watch it move.

Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it happens slowly, but once in a while it doesn't happen all the time. The planchette should take off if everyone is focused. No player is dominating the planchette. They shouldn't be playing the game if they are the reason it's moving. Each player should have the same amount of weight.

Step 14: The board needs to be closed.

If the planchette starts doing "figure eights," or counting down from Z to A, or from 9 to 0, then it's time to say goodbye. The spirit is trying to escape from the board. It's important to say goodbye.Wouldn't you prefer to be left all of a sudden? It is time to sweep the planchette over the Good Bye symbol on the board if you have the medium state.Say goodbye if you enjoyed the time with your spirit.Wait for the planchette to move to "Goodbye".Rub the board with a dry cloth before putting it in the box.It keeps it clean and prevents dust from building up.
