How To Use Buffalo Web Access on a PC

If you have a Buffalo LinkStation or TeraStation, the WebAccess for Windows will allow you to manage your files in the same way you would on your PC.You can do a lot of things from your computer.To learn more, scroll down.

Step 1: Go to Buffalo's website.

You can download WebAccess for Windows from www.buffalotech.com.

Step 2: You need to install WebAccess.

Double-clicking on the setup file on your desktop will open it.

Step 3: The initial setup is needed for WebAccess.

You need to link the device to your computer before you can access your files.The WebAccess should be enabled.

Step 4: You can find WebAccess by locating it.

Go to My Computer and look for the Buffalo WebAccess icon.There is a red house with green and blue arrows.Click on it to open it.

Step 5: You can create your directory.

On the empty folder that opens up, right-click on the space and select New.You used to register at BuffaloNAS.com with this name.When you are done, click "add"

Step 6: You can view your directory.

You will see the drive created with the corresponding icon after successful creation.Click here to view the files you have shared with WebAccess.

Step 7: Open the computer.

Click on "Computer" or "My Computer" from your desktop.

Step 8: It is possible to open WebAccess.

Double-clicking on the WebAccess directory inside the My Computer directory will open it.You can see the directory inside.

Step 9: It's a good idea to open the NAS.

Click on the directory to view all the files.

Step 10: You can navigate through the shared folders.

Normal file operations can be done from this folder once you have accessed the shared folders.As needed, you can move, copy, and rename files.

Step 11: You can open my computer.

Step 12: It is possible to open WebAccess.

Step 13: It's a good idea to open the NAS.

Step 14: To share a folder, select it.

You can find the one you want to share through the folders and files.

Step 15: You can select the email share URL.

Once you find the folder or file you want to share, right-click on it and select "E-mail share URL"

Step 16: Share validity should be set.

A pop-up window will ask for a validity period.Click "OK" to indicate the period when the link will be valid.Other people won't be able to access your folder or file after this period.

Step 17: You can send an email.

The shared URL will be used to start your default e-mail software.Enter the e-mail addresses of the recipients.You can send an e-mail.Your recipients will get a link to access the folder or file you just shared.
