You can learn how to use the augmented reality furniture shopping app on your phone or tablet.You can virtually arrange IKEA products in your actual living space to see how they fit.
Step 1: You can open IKEA Place on your phone or computer.
You can find the blue and yellow ikea on the home screen or in the app drawer.You can download it for free if you haven't installed it.The place requires a later version of the OS.
Step 2: Go through the instructions and then tap OK.
If you are new to IKEA Place, the app will walk you through a brief introduction to its features.
Step 3: To complete the setup, follow the on-screen instructions.
You need to agree to the privacy statement and give the app permission to access your camera.You can see the camera viewfinder at the bottom once the setup is complete.
Step 4: You can tap the +.
There is a camera at the bottom.This opens the product browser.
Step 5: You can search for or browse furniture.
If you know the name of the furniture you want to try in your space, type it into the search bar.Only the Ikea product tile can be searched by product type.To view a list of categories, tap the top-right corner of the screen, then tap a category.
Step 6: You can tap a furniture item.
The description and price are included in the information page.You can see the item at different angles by scrolling across the photos.You can save an item to your favorites by touching the heart.You can browse your favorites by tapping on the outline of a person at the bottom of the camera viewfinder.
Step 7: Try it in your place.
This brings you back to the camera's screen.
Step 8: You can point the camera at the part of the room where you want to place the item.
Step 9: Go to the check mark.
It is at the bottom of the screen.There is an item in the room.It may take a while for the item to appear.
Step 10: The item should be positioned as desired.
You can drag the item to the exact place you want it to be when you buy it.To make sure the item is facing the right direction, use two fingers.
Step 11: Continue rearranging your space.
Just as you did with the first item, add the next one and place it in the space.You can get an idea of what the furniture will look like if you look in the camera viewfinder while moving around the room.
Step 12: You can open IKEA Place on your phone or computer.

Step 13: The square icon is dashed.
It is at the bottom- left corner of the screen.
Step 14: To replace furniture, aim the camera at it.
If you want to check out IKEA's selection of bookshelves, hold the camera so that your current bookshelf is in the frame.
Step 15: The furniture item has a tap on it.
There is a frame around or near the item.
Step 16: To surround the item, drag the frame.
Step 17: The search button is on the screen.
The magnifying glass is at the bottom of the screen.This searches based on the selected item and displays a list of similar items.
Step 18: To view it, tap an item.
Information about the item is displayed.
Step 19: You can save the item to your favorite.
You can save the item to your favorites if you tap the heart.You can find your favorites by tapping the person icon at the bottom of the camera screen.
