You can learn how to get started withPinterest, a visual discovery app where you'll find recipes, decorations, hairstyle, crafts, and creative ideas that spark inspiration.When you discover Pins on the site, you can save them to boards to keep them organized.You'll be ready to dive deeper into the world of pins once you learn these basic skills.
Step 1: You can open it.
You can either use the app on your phone or the website to do so.Click or tap if you're not signed in.Click or tap to create a pinnable account if you haven't already.
Step 2: You can find the Home page.
The first thing you'll see is the Home page.This is where you'll find recommended Pins based on your activity, as well as Pins from topics, people, and boards you follow.To get back to the Home page at any time, you can either click the red circle on the web or tap the house icon at the bottom- left corner of the mobile app.There are other navigation tabs on the Home page.To see only the content shared by people you follow, click or tap to see.
Step 3: Click or tap the Pin.
Think of pins as bookmarks.You can find Pins for everything from art and graphics to educational aids and fashion on the internet.When you select a pin, a larger version of its image will appear, along with a brief summary and some options.Click the web link if the Pin leads to a website to see the full content.When you find a Pin you like, you can save it to a board.You can learn more about boards in the Saving Pins to a Board method.The person who created the Pin has a link to it.tap the button if you want to see more pins from that person.The following boards and people method can be used to learn more about following others.
Step 4: You can open your profile page.
The person icon can be found near the bottom-right corner of the page if you're using a phone or tablets.The person icon is at the top-right corner if you're using a web browser.You can find boards and pins here once you've created them.To see the boards you've created, click or tap.Click or tap to see the saved pins.
Step 5: You can modify your profile and preferences.
You can change your settings by clicking the pencil on the computer or the gear icon.You can add a photo.Changing how you log in, updating your email address, and deactivating your account are some of the general tasks you can take care of.You can control how you are notified of new activity.Control your visibility on search engines, as well as manage how pins are used.You can manage your password by selecting to do so.
Step 6: People, topics, or ideas can be found on the pin board.
To find the search bar on a phone or tablet, tap the magnifying glass at the bottom.The search bar is at the top of the Home page if you're on a computer.A search page with category suggestions and your most recent searches can be found here.To find something in particular, type what you're looking for into the search box.Below the search bar, you'll see search suggestions.Press or tap to find what you are looking for.You can check out the user's profile, boards, and pins by tapping one of the accounts that match what you've typed.
Step 7: You can check your notifications.
You can see messages from people you're following, new followers, and your friends' activity here.It's not the same on a computer if you click the bell icon at the top-right corner.You can open your inbox with the speech bubble icon at the bottom of the screen.
Step 8: You can send, view and manage your messages.
There is a chat bubble icon with three dots inside at the top-right corner of the website and in the mobile app.To get to your messages, tap the tab on the mobile app.To send a message, click the pencil icon and select up to 10 recipients.Click or tap the pushpin icon to find one to send.Select the paper airplane icon to send your message.To open a new message, just tap it in the inbox.
Step 9: You can search for a pin.
Go to the search bar and enter what you're looking for.To find the search bar on a phone or tablet, tap the magnifying glass at the bottom.
Step 10: Click or tap the pin.

Step 11: Click or tap to save.
You can see a list of the boards that you've created in the past.If you want to create a new board for Pins like the one you're saving, you can do that if it's your first time saving a Pin.
Step 12: Either way, you can create the board.
It's at the bottom of the list.The form opens with some basic information.
Step 13: The board's basic information should be filled out.
The board title should reflect the type of content you'll be saving to.If you're saving a haircut idea, you could use Curly Haircuts or Hair ideas.If you don't want anyone to see your board, you can use the "Secret" switch on your phone or tablet.To choose someone to collaborate with, tap the button under "Collaborators".
Step 14: Click either to create or to next.
If you use the mobile app, you will be brought up with other topics that you can add to your board.If you don't want your board to be created, tap.When you're pinning things in the future, it will appear as an option when you create a board.
Step 15: You can modify your board.
Click the profile icon if you want to add a description.Click or tap the board.The pencil icon is on the left side of the page if you're using a computer.If you're on a phone, tap the menu at the top-right corner to select.Now you can change the board's name, add a description, choose a topic, and control its visibility to others.If you'd like, you can invite someone else.You can archive or destroy the board in the future.You can save your changes by clicking or tapping.
Step 16: Click or tap the icon.
You'll find your boards and pins when you open your profile.You can use this method to create your own Pins.
Step 17: Either click or tap the +.
It is on the right side of the page.
Step 18: You can choose the Pin.
You have to give the app permission to your gallery if you're using a phone or tablets.
Step 19: A Pin is created from a photo.
If you want to create a Pin by saving a website, skip this step and move to the next.If you're using a phone or tablet, select a photo and tap next.If you're on a computer, click the large box with an arrow inside, select the image, and then click.You can enter a title and description.If you want people to be able to find your Pin in searches, make sure to use relevant words.Click or tap the option and paste the URL you want the Pin to link to.There is a board for the Pin.Select the board if you're on a phone or tablet.Pick a board from the drop-down menu if you're on a computer.
Step 20: A Pin can be created from a website.
Click or tap the globe if you don't want to use a photo from the site you're linking to.You can enter a direct link to the site you want to Pin.You can search for the site on your phone or tablets.You can open a list of images from the site that you can use for your Pin.Click or tap the image you want to use to make a selection.Pick a board from the drop-down menu if you're using a computer.Pick a board if you're on a phone.The Pin's name and description can be changed later.
Step 21: You can modify your Pin.
You can change the name, description, and other details of your Pin after creating it.Go to your profile and select.If you're on a computer, hover the mouse over the Pin you want to edit, and then click the pencil icon that appears.If you're on a phone, tap and hold the Pin, and then select the pencil icon.The information you can change is dependent on Pin.You can update the board if you linked from a website.You can add or modify the website if you uploaded a photo.Click or tap.
Step 22: You can open the bar.
The magnifying glass is at the bottom of the screen.Click the search bar at the top of the Home page if you're on a computer.
Step 23: You can find a term related to your preferred content.
If you want to follow a board that posts pictures of kittens, you can type "Kittens" into the search bar.If you're looking for a specific person, you can type their name or their usernames.
Step 24: You can enter or return to run your search.
Use your phone's Enter or search key if you're on a phone.Your search will show you a bunch of pins that match your words.
Step 25: Use filters to find your search results.
You can only show the results that match what you typed.If you're on a computer, click the menu to the right of the search bar that says and select a filter option.If you're on a phone or tablet, you can use the filter icon to select an option.
Step 26: To check it out, click or tap a person.
You can try another result if you don't follow the person or board.
Step 27: Click to follow.
The person or board is added to the following list.Select at the top of the page to see everything you're following.
