You want to catch up on your favorite shows when you're on the go.What are you able to do?There are a number of ways that you can watch your favorite programs on your smart device.Watching your shows on the bus, plane, or train has never been easier.See Step 1 to learn how.
Step 1: Go to the Play Store.
You can find more than apps in the Play Store.TV shows can be purchased or rented from the store.You can catch up on old episodes of your favorite shows while this isn't live TV.
Step 2: You can find the show that you want.
The show you want to download can be entered in the search bar.The "Movies & TV" results can be found at the bottom of the search results.
Step 3: You can buy how you want.
Tv shows can be purchased as whole seasons or individual episodes.The price will be listed next to each episode.To switch to different seasons, use the Season drop-down menu.You will need to attach the payment information to your account.If you haven't purchased anything before, you will be asked to set up your account.
Step 4: Choose between the two.
You can usually buy either HD or SD on newer shows.HD stands for High Definition and will result in better picture quality.HD isn't supported on all devices, so make sure your device can play it.HD costs a little more than standard definition.Older shows are not available in other places.
Step 5: You can watch your episodes.
You can start watching immediately after purchasing your episodes.You don't have to download them to your device.You can select "My Movies & TV" by pressing the Play Store menu button.You can select "My TV Shows" when the menu changes.You can list all of your available episodes here.You can start streaming it by tapping any episode.If you have a limited data plan, try to avoid streaming when you aren't on a wireless network.To add the show to your device, tap the Pin icon next to the title.If you don't have internet access, this will allow you to watch the show on your device.It's perfect for plane trips where you won't have service.
Step 6: The apps can be downloaded.
There are a lot of shows available for streaming.You can get access to hundreds of shows for a monthly fee.The apps can be downloaded from the Play Store.Both services need separate subscriptions.
Step 7: Go to the app.
You will be prompted to enter your account information when you open the app for the first time.You will be taken to the main screen after logging in.
Step 8: For your show, browse.
Use the search function to find the show you want.There are a variety of genres that you can browse through on Netflix.
Step 9: You can stream your show.
When you select an episode, it will start streaming.You will likely see an ad or two at the beginning of the show.There are no ads during the process of watching a DVD.There are newer episodes that aired on the night before.If you have a data limit and aren't on a wireless network, try to avoid streaming.
Step 10: You have to sign up for Aereo.
Aereo is a service that lets you watch your local channels on your phone.You can either watch the channels live or set your favorite shows to record so that you can watch them later.Aereo only works for local channels.Aereo isn't available in all areas.The Aereo website is where you can sign up.
Step 11: The app can be downloaded.
You can download the app for your phone once you've signed up for Aereo.Search for "Aereo" in the Play Store.Pick "Aereo (Beta)" from the search results and install it on your device.
Step 12: You can open the app.
You will be asked to log in with your Aereo account information.The guide for your channels will be displayed when you log in.
Step 13: Start looking.
You can tap the program that you want to watch.Your show will begin playing after a few moments of buffering.You can stop the show at any time you want.The entire channel is not broadcasted by Aereo.You will need to select the next show on the guide if you want to watch the same channel.
Step 14: You can download the TV app for your service provider.
You can download apps from major cable providers that will allow you to watch live TV on your device.You must have an account with the cable provider to use these apps.
Step 15: You have to log in with your account.
To log in to the app, you will need to create an account on your cable provider's website.You can use the cable provider's website to create accounts.You need your account number to create an account.
Step 16: You can find the program that you want to watch.
The app's capabilities vary from provider to provider.You can only watch recorded video on some of the live channels.If you have a limited data plan, make sure you are on a wireless connection.
Step 17: Go to the website in your browser.
You can use streaming websites on your phone.Most of these sites are not designed for mobile use and are often cluttered with ads.World Wide Internet TV, Live TV Cafe, and Stream2Watch are some of the more popular sites.
Step 18: You can find the program you want to watch.
You can use the search function on most sites to find what you want.Many of the sites are devoted to programming from all over the world.
Step 19: There are popups.
Clicking on a stream will open another tab that tries to trick you.It might take a few moments to load if you close the new tab.You will need to zoom in and look for the "X" buttons to close the ads on the stream.
