I was watching direct tv and it said there was no server detected.

The background-color is important.

We can help you if you're seeing an error on your TV screen or have trouble connecting the Genie Mini to the HD DVR.Let's start!

The entire system should be reset if the error message is still there. The red reset button is located near the access card. The same thing can be done with the DVR.

You can chat with us if the above fails to resolve the error.Run System Test and write down any errors you see.The best course of action will be determined by this.

I can't get the remote to do anything because there is no server detected. No server was detected just a sentence.

This problem started happening recently on me and many of my friends Direct TV SUCKS since ATT purchase the support is as bad as their hardware time to go back top Time Warner at least I can watch Dodgers.

When I called customer service, they said it was a problem throughout the west coast and they were trying to fix it.Is anyone living on the west coast experiencing the same issue?

That is not true. The support rep just wanted to take the next call.

The same thing happened to me.She went through the same thing I did after I phoned the non-support line. It's still not service. She can send out a tech for 99 or I can sign up for a monthly fee to cover service calls.I have something better.I will be getting my cable, internet, and home phone service from Time Warner's Spectrum for less than half the price I'm paying for a crappy service.Time Warner has the worst customer service history of any business.I might as well pay less for the crappy service if I'm going to get it from Direct TV.I will get what I pay for.

There is a directv moca configuration problem. The software was written in a third world country that doesn't have internet.

I have been a Direct TV customer for 7 years and never had a problem until AT&T purchased.I received a bill over 400 dollars which took months for them to figure out, with only 5 days to pay or they'd cancel me, countless hours on the phone, multiple problems with internet, and now this message. When I called about the issue, I was told I would have to pay 99 dollars for a rep to come and fix it.I decided to try for myself after I hung up.DirecTV would have done more than reset if they had asked for error codes.I ran a system test to make sure it wasn't a hardware issue. The code was related to my home wireless network.Through the direct TV menu, I reset my wireless settings. The receivers are working again. When AT&T told me to check my network settings, I couldn't believe it.I should have known not to bother with their customer service. If you get the error message, redo your wireless connection under the menu.

I have been having this "No Servers Detected" error message every day for the last 3 months. Each time I have to hit the reset button on the main receiver and wait for it to restart. The secondary receivers are fine for the rest of the day.It reappears the next day.I've made calls to tech support. The first lady didn't know what she was reading.I had to reboot my receiver.I hung up on her.The 2nd lady told me that their engineers are working on it, and there is nothing I can do other than wait.It was over a month ago.The engineers must be the most sad in the business. She is mistaken if she says it is a West Coast issue because I am on the East Coast.I don't think DTV agents know what they're doing.

The wireless bridge is malfunctioning and we need a tech to replace it.We are having an issue. The service worked well for the first 1.5 years, but in January of last year, no service was detected on the genie minis.I'm in St. Louis, so it's not a coastal issue.

I was told by Directv's engineers that they were aware of the problem and would email me once it was fixed. No need to call them back.It was over a month ago.I went into settings and set the main receiver to never go to sleep.Power Saving is set to "Off".My receiver was not connected to the internet, so I set it up with wi-fi.Since then, my minis have not lost signal from the server.I don't think connecting to the Internet did anything. It's not a requirement for Directv service to have Internet. It might have been the disabling of sleep mode.It seems to work for me.If Directv never contacts me again, it may be a permanent fix.Hope this helps other people.-Hank

Since January of last year, I have been having the same problem.AT&T keeps sending out technicians to try and fix it, and the last one told me it was a problem with the receiver they were trying to fix.AT&T can't solve this problem, it's a huge corporation.

I'm having an issue right now.I have a genie and 3 minis, one of which is the C61 (4K), and it's causing trouble.Has it been fixed?
