The Ryzen 9 5900X was roughly 40% faster than the Core i9-10900K in the multi-core run, if just 5% faster in single-core. This is still impressive, though, considering that the 5900X has to make room for two more cores than the Core i9-10900K and still manages to outpace it in single-core content work.

The single core speed are similar while i9 have more cores. In my opinion, AMD simply have more value, but if you're serious about video editing on applications that can take advantage of multiple cores, then i9 would be better.

If you are looking for a great CPU for Video Editing that costs less than 550$ the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X is the best choice.
