There is no purpose or value in freezing salad dressings.You can freeze salad dressing.Salad dressings have a long shelf life if they include a natural preservative ingredient.Those that contain mayonnaise, cream or cheese have a shorter shelf life and might make one consider the freezing option.The problem is that dairy products don't freeze well.They can be frozen, but they don't thaw well.No matter how hard you try to get them back together, they are usually separated for the rest of their lives.A salad dressing is not a good one.

After freezing, herbs and spices can change their flavor.Green peppers, cloves, garlic, and celery tend to get stronger in flavor and have a bitter taste.Salt tends to lose flavor during freezing.Salt and fat are combined in salad dressings to increase the rancidity of the food.When frozen, some spices, like onion and curry, have a different flavor.If you want to alleviate these symptoms on most foods we recommend doing the main seasoning after thaw, but for salad dressings they are already full of many of these seasonings.
